I'm having a halloween party for my kids friends, their teenagers and I dont know what food to make. I want to have a halloween theme but because its for teens I don't want any stupid stuff.

Does anyone have any spooky kid friendly food.

Make jello with gummy worms in it. You can make mini meringues, and dust them with Halloween colors, You can make chocolate cake and after baking, screw it up a bit and stick gummy spiders & creepy crawly things in it so it looks like they are crawling out. You can use cotton candy, too, to toss on food, its nice and spider-webby. Hope I helped! Have fun!

Cupcakes with orange frosting decorated with black spiderwebs. Gummy worms. M&M's, lots of bowls around filled with candy.

WE always dunked for apples and that was a lot of fun....

Nachos: cheese in a crock pot, chips, jalapenos.

Hot dogs: easily kept warm in a crock pot, have buns, and a variety of condiments, mustard, ketchup, relish, onions.

A big pot of chili beans, with cheese and onion for toppings.

Have lots of soda's, bottle water, and maybe a Halloween punch in a black cauldron.

Ask your teens for suggestions.

If its a boy/girl party, they won't be that interested in the food, they'll be interested in each other.

Have fun, we always had the parties at our house that way we knew are kids were safe. If it's a large group you might ask some of the other parents to come help supervise, help serve food and keeps food item replenished. It's a nice way to get to know the parents of the kids yours are hanging out with.

Have fun and trick or treat....

As someone who recently left the teenage relm, pretty much anything you do is going to be considered "lame" but go for basics and make your life easier, bowls with chip and dip are good, a few coolers with soda are a must, but halloween cookies are great! bowls of candy are even better, pixi sticks are allways a plus. Oh and punch is good too. Sprite mixed with orange HI-C!

You could make sugar cookies and then cut them out in different shapes (ghosts, haunted houses etc..) and then icing them. Or here are some great websites for receipes for kids:

Warm spiced apple cider. Dont worry they are teenagers they might complain about a lot of things but what ever you do for them they will love it. Dont expect them to thank you or show any kind of appreciation though.

Black tortilla Nachos with Sharp Cheddar, chili, and Black olives (creates that orange and black color theme). Devil's Food Cupcakes with Milanos stuck in them. Use thin chocolate writing to put RIP and they become headstones.
