After my last question about this subject, several of the creationists stated that they could punch lots of holes in evolution as if that somehow proves evolution is wrong and creation is right.

Question: If "punching holes" invalidates evolution does it also invalidate creation, since I can punch plenty of holes in it?

Apparently by theist logic, yes. But theists are hypocrites, so what works for them is not permissible to be used by someone else.

In the real world, you can only prove something by providing evidence to support it, not be disproving something else.

My answer is the answer to all things unknown: I do not know. That is the problem with people. They just have to say that they know something when what they are talking about cannot be proven. This is because they are scared of a world that cannot be explained. Don't think that I am only picking on creationists, because scientists do the same thing...just that they are reputable and usually don't bomb abortion clinics or throw blood (fake or not) on abortion patients, etc. Also, scientists do not tell creationists that they will go to hell if they do not believe in science...although, this world, without science, to most of them, is hell.

A little wordy, but I think I made my (self-righteous) point. I never stay up all night tossing and turning while doubting everything that I thought that was true...Naw, never.

Gino,

What a great question! By challenging a theory, it shows that you are grappling with the devil over the issue. If you keep an open mind and truly study, with God's love and grace, you will arrive at the right answer.

When I first came to Christ, I too used to "punch holes" in the Bible. But I studied with good people who cared about God and they cared about me. Honestly, some things I understand now that I used to not get. Some things I still don't understand, but they seem less important as my life has moved into a different place. And there are still questions that trouble me.

The wondeful thing Gino is that as you challenge Christians, you are also thinking about God and you are helping others of us here to also focus our faith on these important questions. So you keep punching and I'll do the same.

God bless,

Laura

There are more holes and inconsistencies in the biblical creation story than there are in evolutionary theory, and far less evidence to support it.

Keep in mind also that evolution does not bother itself with origins, that's another theory altogether. You're really comparing chickens and eggs.

Throwing straw-men at evolution will not change the facts.
There are no real "gaps" in the fossil record. In fact there are no real arguments left against evolution. It is well established and well accepted world wide by 99% of the scientific community and most of the worlds population. Only in the U.S. is there so much confusion.

Ok, think of it this way - first was the Creation and then Evolution set it`s course. In reallity, there is no contradiction.

(sigh) Neither of them are right. My people came from the planet Gardax and created earth. We than planted some apes and nocked them up and humans were the product!

You can't punch holes in creation, it is real.
