Here are the symptoms that have led me to beleive I am depressed:

1) i get lonely all the time
2) i never feel happy
3) i feel like everyone hates me and is pretending to like me
4) i feel like everyone wants to control me
5) i hate how everything has changed and wont change back

It does indeed sound like depression. I am very sorry, I know what it is like, have gone through it myself. You reached fro drugs, I almost drank myself to death. Therapy is really the only option, there is no substance in the world ( drugs, alcohol, meds even) that can get you out of a depression, you have to do it yourself.

In my opinion the best thing for you would be counseling in a group, talking to others with the same problem will help you gain perspective and will hopefully pull you out of your isolation.

At the moment you are stuck in the 'victim' role, try to snap out of that as soon as possible, it is very self-destructive. you are not a victim unless you allow yourself to be one!

I know you asked for solutions without therapists but I really think that you need professional help even if it is only for a few months.

Good luck!

I agree with the very first person's answer. That is the best advice "only a well-qualified person can diagnose you with depression" self diagnoses isn't the right way to go. I believe though if you feel you are depressed and you want help you should go and talk to someone. Just because you may be depressed doesn't mean you'd need to be on medication, some people just need someone to talk to, someone who will listen to them. I hope everything works out for you hun.

Sounds like depression. The only way out of depression is to talk about your problems with a qualified person, but if you want to try and help yourself try a herbal remedy - St Johns Wort. This is taken to reduce such symptoms.

Might be enough to take the edge off and allow you to deal with the root cause of your problems (why you feel like this), but if not then profssional help should be sought - especially if you have thought of suicide. Talk to someone. Anyone.

sounds like depression. you should go to a therapist to see what exactly is causing you to be depressed. and maybe join some sort of support group online. doing more outdoor activities should make you feel better. but if you're suicidal you really should see a therapist.

Maybe you're depressed because you can't spell "believe", don't know how to capitalize your "I"'s, or use correct punctuation.

That being said, you might have depression. I suffer from it myself, so I would know. There aren't really any GOOD solutions except for therapy and/or meds. Sorry.
