lately, anytime I get a phone call or email.. my heart sinks because im worried it is someone calling to yell/complain about something i did wrong. How is it that some people could care less, and I can't stop careing? I feel like I am constantly walking with my tail between my legs.... is this depression or what?
help me get my act together!

i'm just like this. but i've never sought help and as a result I've become hopelessly depressed. i doubt that will happen to you because you're 27 and sound sucessful. however, you should probably go to a therapist and see what is exactly wrong. it sounds like you suffer from low self esteem and have anxiety. this could lead to depression. i'm not saying anything is wrong with you but it does seem to be bothering you. i also googled 'fear of failure and disapproval' and it came up with links on perfectionism.
and i found this link about self esteem. http://www.theselfesteeminstitute.com/AboutSelfEsteem.htm
read the left side (in purple) also.
good luck

You may have a chemical imbalance. There are neurotransmitter chemicals that control you emotions in your brain. Sometimes these get depleted from repeated mental torture by someone or abuse of alcohol or drugs. I have been diagnose with anxiety-depression disorder and have had similar symptoms. About 5 years ago, I started taking 3 natural neurotransmitter replacement supplements that are now available in most pharmacies and I haven't had an anxiety attack since then.
Try these:
SAMe
5-HTP
L-Tyrosine
Take the dosage recommended on each container. Also, try to consciously make an effort to sort out things in your life that cause your stress and "throw out the trash". Don't let things get to you that you can logically say don't make any difference in your life. It may help if you just stop watching news on TV.

It doesnt necessarily sound like depression. But something is wrong. Anxiety, feelings of doom. Talking to a therapist would be a good idea. They can help diagnose you, and can help you through what it is you're dealing with. Keep trying, keep working on it, and find someone to talk to asap. The quicker you get help, the less complicated it becomes. So go, now even, look in your phone book for counseling places if you dont have health insurance, you can usually find low cost/no cost therapy. Good luck. Wishing you love, health, happiness, and HOPE. Jenn

It does sound as this is truly bothering you. Why don't you see a doctor and discuss the issues you have. Also search you memory, have you maybe done something (it could be a small matter)that is troubling you since you did it.
I believe that the first step you should take is see a good therapist, then start doing something that you might enjoy, like taking a class, or a hobby, volunteering.
Some of us wear our hearts on our sleeves, honey, but if it is making you miserable take steps now to alleviate the problem.
Good luck and God bless.

I feel like that sometimes. It isn't depression. You just don't want to step on any toes or hurt anyone. You also don't like to get into trouble. Think about it, are things more stressful right now? If your answer is yes as I'm sure it is, then you are worried about messing up. Don't worry, and when you do, close your eyes and take a deep breath. Find your center, the place you feel most comfortable. You will feel better, I promise.

You have to much time on your hand to think about thing you need to find thing to do that make you feel good about yourself. Because when you don't feel good about yourself then you think others also see you that way .You also may have something in the back of your mind that you feel bad for and you just do think of it intell someone calls I do not think your depressed I just think you need to find what is going on inside of you that make you feel that way and how long have you have been this way . If you had a hard child life the there is alot more there and yes get help . or if you ever been abuse in your life then you may need to get help because then it is beause someone has but something in your mind to feel that way. I wish you luck . I hope you find peace within yourself

confident. If somebody spanked my baby, i could call the police and have them arrested for attack, get a restraining order, and press any/all proper rates against them. and then i could make their lives a residing hell and spot to it that they *by no potential* overlook it, inspite of what lengths i could would desire to pass to. heavily. I discipline my baby in a civil, much less barbaric way than spanking. If yet another individual thinks they have that proper and definitely do spank her, they are going to have one shielding and fiercely offended mom bear that that they had have an exceptionally complicated time removing. This is going for even my own family and that they comprehend this very properly. My youngster's risk-free practices, wellbeing, wellbeing, and happiness is my #a million precedence. people who think of they have a proper to discipline or abuse by potential of spanking somebody else's youngster without the be certain's permission are very deluded, stupid, and smug people.

This is sign of insecurity and lack of selfconfidence. Also, probably you are not a very optimistic person at this moment of your life?
You should mainly regain your confidence and belief in your self.
Don`t underestimate yourself. Don`t think that all your ideas are dull and that you can`t do anything right!
You have the potential to be the best! So don`t lock your mind behind the cages of self-doubt, but go and show the world what you can - and this is just about everything! It`s a matter of will.

panic disorder maybe? or maybe you have some guilt issues (real or imagined) that need to be aired. could be depression or anxiety. depends on how long it is going on. a short time and goes away probably isn't an issue to worry about. but if it has been around for a while or is seriously affecting your life, talk with someone about it.
