I'm thinking of placing a TV on my patio for barbeques. It will be protected from the weather. I just don't know if I'll be able to see it in the sun light. Any suggestions?

Get an LCD TV for the outside. It will show up better.
Plasma TV's don't show up very well in sun light. Because 1. They have a glass plate in front of them and 2 they don't project light out, the glow a color in the plasma phosphors.

LCD use back lit technology meaning that it pushes light through the screen. So if sun light is hitting the screen it will still show through. Don't go with a cheap brand because they won't push out as much light as a quality screen.

I would recommend a Sony Bravia or Sharp Aquos they will do the best

The restaurant I worked at built this wooden little box around it, on the sides and the top, to block out the sun... it worked pretty well

I don't know but that would be so damn cool, having your majesty being fanned in the summer time by servant women, watching Monday night football.

Don't buy a plasma TV as they are highly reflective.
