And if so where did you stay/ Did you like it? What is included…flight, hotel, etc??? How do you get from air port to hotel and back again when you check out…is that included in you final cost?? We have NEVER taken a packaged vacation and need specifics. I asked a question Sat on Hawaii and it was most helpful on which island to stay at…now I need more info from people who have taken a ‘packaged’ trip. I have looked at .com travel sites, but still need help. Thanks in advance.

Maui is beautiful and you will love it! We have gone quite a few times and have always stayed in the town of Wailea. We have stayed at the Fairmont Key lani, the Four Seasons and on our honeymoon we stayed at the Grand Wailea. Lots of fun!! If you have kids, this is a great place. The pool is amazing. Even on our honeymoon, we felt like kids in the pool. It was simply Heaven!

Rent a car in Maui. It is the only way to really see the island and get around. Otherwise, you will spend a fortune on taxis! You can even pick up the car at the airport. It's such a cinch!

On package deals, depending on which one, usually it is all taxes, hotel and flight. In my opinion, don't ever do an all-inclusive. If you do this, you will miss out on so many fabulous restaurants.

Have a great trip!!

You can get packages w/ just room/car; room/ car/ airfare/ airfare/room; I've been using Robert's for over 25 yrs. Some have free shuttles, some have airport shuttles for reasonable rates, I have rented a Limo 4 special occasions, whatever u like is available! Pacaged deals are less work & stress intensive for you & usually cheaper & smoother, of course, they've been doing this millions of times for years! There are other companies but one of the most popular among the locals is...

See you in Paradise! Aloha, Have Fun. Oh BTW Maui hands down! I moved there when I was 21 & didn't leave until 16 yrs. later. I was a Bartender & other service industry jobs & also sales& marketing. Maui takes at least 7-10 days to be satiated. Many people come year after year for months at a time, I know these people personally. There's an interisland airfare war going on now because of a new airline startup called Go, a subsidiary of Mesa Airlines from Arizona. Hawaiian & Aloha Are the 2 main carriers but there are smaller planes which I personally prefer, because they fly lower creating an air tour like flight.

Package is going to include hotel/flight/taxes. Transfers or a car rental can be added and then that would be in your final cost.

You sound as if you have several questions, might I suggest using a travel professional instead of relying on trying to book online. With a TA they can give you honest opinions on hotels on if the picture is really what it looks like, because some photos ARE airbrushed. Online will not tell you this only experience can.

We have stayed at the Maui Coast in Kihei, right across the street from the beach, very nice place. Rent a car in Maui, but be prepared traffic can be quite congested especially around Lahina. You will love Maui!!
