A child born in the UK after 01/01/1983 is not automatically British by birth. To be British after this date, either one of the parents must be a British citizen or a Permanent Resident at the time of birth. If the Mother is not a British Citizen or permanent resident at the time of birth, but the father is, then they must be married in order for this to pass on to the child.
The child maybe registered as British if he/she lives the first 10 years of its life in the UK.

Hello,
If you are married to the childs father, yes, if not the child is not British under current immigration/citizenship/Permanent residency/ ILR laws(Indefinite Leave To Remain), please visit the web site of the home office at http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk for further advice on this. For the child to be be British I.E a citizen, you have to be married to the childs British Citizen Father and citizenship is automatically passed down to your child by the father. You being Malaysian and apparently not married to Dad, means the citizenship of the child is not British.

I don't think you can. Unless you are married to UK citizen, lived here for 10 years legally or worked here for 5 years legally. Your child does not automatically get UK citizenship by birth- it used to be in the past ( i think ) but not anymore.
