I believe evolutionary principles are the product of a higher power yes, but in the absence of evidence I don't speculate any further. I accept evolution as an indisputable fact.

No, I don't believe that. I believe in evolution, but I don't believe in the God of the Bible, or any other God described by man.
However, I know Christians that I respect who DO believe that God works through evolution. At least these people do not deny inconvenient truths.

I do becuase I think He wants us to BELIEVE that He exists, not KNOW that He exists, which is stronger. Evolution point to the possibility that God may not be real. If someone can say he believes that evolution created all life on Earth, and say that God is the driving force of evolution, THAT person has some faith right there! :)

If he does, I don't particularly care. You know why?
That's not what he supposedly said in the bible. In which case, if you're going to tell me the bible isn't meant to be taken literally, then fine... I won't.
I'm not going to take all of the damnation and hell stuff literally either. I'm not going to take the majority of the bible literally, because none of it makes sense, and just about every sentence in the bible is contradicted somewhere else in the bible.
In which case, I don't really see much reason to believe in god, other than because I... "want to".
And to be quite honest... I do want to. I really wish I did believe in god. I liked being a Christian. It was comforting to think I had a fairy godfather. But I can't make myself crazy. And I can't simply turn off my brain. I can no more make myself believe in god than I can make myself believe in Santa Claus. And pussyfooting around the issue, and trying to squeeze god into science, isn't going to work, either.

In the past I believed that there was no god. We might of gotten here in a series of species. It is possible I think, that we evolve around monkeys, because once I seen a monkey get drunk, and it was amazing how they have the same drinking effects as most humans.

For anyone who believes in the Creation as described in the Bible, you cannot believe in evolution as described by Darwin. The reason is that there was no death in the Garden Of Eden. No death means no survival of the fittest, ergo no evolution. Death came about as a result of the Fall, not before it.

NO - Genesis 1:6
26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."
God does not evolve.
