According to islamic jurisprudence whatever the women earns is hers to keep. Her husband is also responsible for maintaining her material needs with his money as well no matter if she stays home or if she works.

Right. Even if she works or comes from a rich family and her father sends her money, she can keep it all. Her husband has no right to ask her for it while MUST support her financially. That does not mean she can ask for a Ferrari if he can't afford it. She has the right to help him if he is in debt (example) being a good person (which we all should be as humans) she should not wait for him to ask for help when he is down.
To: King_of_Crusade:
You said that we bow to a stone, this is a symbol, we put our foreheads to the ground to learn to be humble. We pray to God who is in the 7th sky, where there is nothing higher than Him. The "stone" is built by Abraham, so that we all gather around it in a certain time of the year to learn that we are all equal in front of Our Creator, King and Peasant are the same. You seem to enjoy mocking Islam.

Yes, this is true. The Qur'an tells Muslim men that they are expected to support and care for their wife. Any money she has before she gets married also remains her own, and a true Muslim man would never ask for it or accept it.

I didn't know that. Now if we could get Christian men to do that..... Many would be willing but lately it takes two incomes to pay the bills. Sigh...

Yeah sure....but first she has to be able to get out of the house. Majority of muslim women can't go out without their husband's permission, let alone go out and work.
