"Who made God?"
I apologize in advance for using just a few Bible verses, hopefully you won't mind too much. They just add a little flare to the explanation.
To one who examines the evidence, there can be no doubt that God exists. Every building has a builder. Everything made has a maker. The fact of the existence of the Creator is axiomatic (self-evident). That’s why the Bible says, "The fool has said in his heart, ‘There is no God’" (Psalm 14:1). The professing atheist denies the common sense given to him by God, and defends his belief by thinking that the question "Who made God?" can’t be answered. This, he thinks, gives him license to deny the existence of God.
The question of who made God can be answered by simply looking at space and asking, "Does space have an end?" Obviously, it doesn’t. If there is a brick wall with "The End" written on it, the question arises, "What is behind the brick wall?" Strain the mind though it may, we have to believe (have faith) that space has no beginning and no end. The same applies with God. He has no beginning and no end. He is eternal.
The Bible also informs us that time is a dimension that God created, into which man was subjected. It even tells us that one day time will no longer exist. That will be called "eternity." God Himself dwells outside of the dimension He created (2 Timothy 1:9, Titus 1:2). He dwells in eternity and is not subject to time. God spoke history before it came into being. He can move through time as a man flips through a history book.
Because we live in the dimension of time, logic and reason demand that everything must have a beginning and an end. We can understand the concept of God’s eternal nature the same way we understand the concept of space having no beginning and end—by faith. We simply have to believe they are so, even though such thoughts put a strain on our distinctly insufficient cerebrums.

I believe there is God and God exists. I do not believe however that I can make you believe like I do. But if you can only ask yourself...what is it that makes you different from all the existing animals that roam around the world (extinct and still existing) either on air.sea and land and why does it seem that man is the only creature who can think, create, decide to preserve and conserve nature's elements, develop and create a landscape, explore other planets and why there is that thing we call morality and decency that we have to cover our bodies, watch our actions and take care of one another extending to more than our immediate families not only to humans but even to animals as well. Then you may probably ask, was it just the protein that the apes were able to eat in those early times that we are able to develop our intelligence and became man? In that case, how did they learn and who taught them? Was it just by accident or a biological responses of every creature who wants to survive? But why man only?

I wish I could "make you believe" as you put it, but it is by faith alone that I believe. It is a choice to follow Jesus and His teachings, believing that He is the Son of God. I had to reliquish my own desires and plans, turning them over to God/Jesus and having Him take control of my life. Then when I do this, the Holy Spirit comes to reside within me and I can then discern the Bible and have a different understanding of the world and people - actually my spiritual eyes were opened so to speak. I pray that you will do this. I have such a peace and I have purpose for my life too - telling others about Him and showing them His love. Jesus is waiting for you and salvation through Him can be yours. Also I have the hope of Heaven and Eternal Life when this life is over - this is not all there is - you might think that death is the end but that is just the beginning. Turn to Jesus and have the abundant life. Blessings to you.

I think you are expecting someone to convince you through "reasoning" or logic". Believing or not is a spiritual matter, and does not come through logic. Most believers have had a deep personal experience. The ability to believe is, in itself, a "gift of God". Although you requested no quotes, the Bible teaches that God must first give people the "power" to become sons of God.

Not in this forum...and not with the typical restriction place by baiters.... If you have an honest question concerning the basics of The True Christian Faith you my email it to me... I will be happy to reply... I do not use a lot of Bible quotes... but at times it is necessary... I can not prove God to you... no one of The Faith can do that... I can offer my testimony... and offer what understanding I have concerning God's Word and Will... I can tell you how He has worked with me...but I can not tell you how he might work with you...I do not get into the great theological debates... they have nothing to do with The Faith anyway...
I do not spam questioners... 1 question receives 1 answer... if you have another question then I respond. otherwise I just do not have the time to get into long drawn out debates about the God stuff...
If you email please be sure you have authorized yahoo reply to you... some send questions but I can not send back because they have not ok'd replies

No one can make you believe in God, that is your decision to make. I can only tell you why I believe in God. I expierance a life with purpose because I believe in God. I believe he created me for a reason and that reason is to be of maximum service to him and all of his people. I find happiness in helping others. I expierance God through other people. I have a more positive outlook on life because I expierance his love on a daily basis. To me God is an all loving, Omnipresent being that created the Universe. I can't tell you why he created the universe, but I believe that more will be revealed when we die. Hope and Faith are required to sustain a belief and relationship with God. Why don't you start with creating your own conception of God and pray that he will reveal himself to you. Keep an open mind. If he doesn't exsist than what harm could it do? If he does do you really want to miss out on a chance to expierance him ? Keep it simple, God is Light and Love. I would rather live a happy life believing in God, even if I die and that's it, then live a miserable one and find out that he does exsist.?? It is a Journey...Good Luck

If you have no belief in anything higher than you it is hard to have something to look forward to. What are your choices? You came from somewhere. You can either believe that you evolved....very slim chance in that. Or that you came out of the big bang theory....even slimmer. Or, that God made you. I would think that is a more positive way of thinking. That gives you hope in the future, help for the present, and a way to safely put the past out of your mind if you so desire. God is like a career. You would never really know unless you tried it...whether you would like it. He wants to be in your life more than you could ever want Him. You have to give Him a fair chance though and really be sincere in wanting to get to know Him. Just try Him....what do you have to lose??

Number 1 reason you have nothing to lose. It is like a lottery ticket for free, thats the minimum. For me Getting to know Jesus was my ultimate experience. I am 60, I have been around the world 3 times, was an athleatic strar as a teenager, been madly in love, and probably somethings I have I do not remember, yet in my life becoming and remaining a friend of Jesus is by far the ultimate experience. b4 Jesus there was an empty, after there was overflow, b4 there were questions after answers, b4 anxiety, after peace, b4 sometimes lonely after I like my alone time with Jesus, lets just say after was great b4 not so much. Do not interpret this as b4 hard and after easy, cuz after is full of trials but trials as a team member is far superior to doing it my way.
I could go on for days but It is all in my answers and if you really want to knowI think you know how to access those.

You can't MAKE someone believe in God. It has to be a voluntary decision on your part to search for the truth with an open mind. The reason I can believe in God, is I can't believe that a rose happens by accident, even in 1000 milllion years! If you sit down with a rose and convince yourself otherwise, you are out of my league
