As Vista is still not 100% complete, Windows will not permit the "designed for vista" logo yet. All the logo means is that all the major hardware components have been tested with Vista. The "Vista capable" means that it means the published requirements to run Vista. But because Vista is still only 99.9% complete, they have not tested and certified anything with it yet.

The real answer to your question, yes. You should be able to install Vista and have it work. MS just is not yet giving certificates for Vista. (It - or at least the Beta - work fine with most older, not "Vista capable" PCs too).

Chances are it will be just fine. Microsoft does a decent job of supporting hardware configurations that were popular before the release of a new OS. And if you only bought it a few months ago, it's almost guaranteed.

If you want to know "for sure" there's only one way. Download the latest Vista release candidate from Microsoft and install it. There may be some issues with hardware drivers being unavailable, but that's because it hasn't been released yet, so there's still time. But that will give you a good idea of how it will perform on that machine. That's really the only "sure" way of knowing.

Yeah i might say. LOL you have solid setup. bear in mind residing house windows has to maintain its min standards low for older desktops. The OS could take finished advatage of the twin middle which you have and in case you get a extra useful photograph card then you definately could have not have been given any situation with the photograph in Vista.

That is most definitely sufficient to run Windows Vista. In any case, the bloatOS has downshifted modes for lower-end computers.

yes, your computer meets the minimum requirements for Windows Vista, so you can go ahead and buy the software when it comes out (if you want to upgrade, of course)

If you were to go onto the Microsoft site you will find the answers you need.
You can also speak to the seller of your machine.
Hope this helps.
