I am constantly worried all the time over trivial matters. It makes me unhappy and unable to be productive over the course of the day. I will end up drinking heavily to help cope and the drinking is taking it's toll on my marriage. I find my self flirting with other women and have no idea I am doing it due to how heavily intoxicated I am. I really want to get away from all of this and have a happy married life.

this sounds like work for a professional but ill tell you what works in my experience. I tried herbal medicine because i didnt trust anti depressants. everyday i would wake up feeling that if i died i wouldnt care because i had nothing to live for. slowly people started keeping their distance because i was morbid and just put everyone in a bad mood. then that gave me more reason to feel down because i felt rejected. then a wise man said this to me "the rejected make themselves rejectable" that really struck a chord and the next day i decided to take baby steps to building a happier me. I started pretending to be happy until one day i wasnt pretending any more, i really was happy in general. i still get down days but its much better than it was. I hope this helps!! good luck

For one, drinking is a depressant. So to have all this anxiety, stress and depression on top doesnt make for a very good mix. I bet that your sleep habits suck too, huh? There is something that needs to be resolved in life, and you need to figure out what this is (if you dont already), and go see someone- a professional. Ive been there and I can tell ya, it really does work. Now as far as any kind of medication, that all depends on what the doc thinks you need. As the saying goes - every body is different and will react to meds differently than the next person. I had to try a few before I finally found what was right for me. I actually just made an appointment yesterday to start seeing someone again. I havent been on anything like that for a few years but Ive got things going on in my life and its all coming back again. The stress, anxiety, depression, sleepless nights, you name it. So I know that I have to get a grip on it NOW! One more thing. I know that when all of this started happening to me years ago that the drinking got to a point where it wasnt covering up enough of the things I didnt want to deal with and I ended up on drugs REALLY REALLY HORRIBLY BAD. Do something now my friend. Lots of prayers work also. Myself, I never did care for the professionals or AA or NA meetings, but sweety they really do help to get you started in the right direction. Even if you just go to meet a few people whose #s you can get. There really truly are peolple out there that do care and will do whatever it takes to help you through this and beyond. Just give it a chance. Its not easy at first though. But people like us are strong and can endure anything. RIGHT? LOL meluvjwh1998@yahoo.com write me and we maybe can help eachother. Take care!

Anxiety is a very real medical problem and is related, but not exactly like depression. Anxiety is treated differently. Your best resource right now is a therapist who can get you on medication that will help you feel more normal, and who will help you work through your anxiety issues. Don't wait; the sooner you make that call, the sooner your life will get back on track. Good luck!

why don't you snap out of it? worrying about every silly thing is not going to change the situation so i say knock it off. Stop drinking and don't make an excuse to drink and end up an alcoholic..deal with your issue by trying to find coping mechanisms...stop putting your poor family thru this..they are innocent and don't deserve a loser like you. get off your drinking and do somethign about it. you won't have a married life if you continue to do this.

If you think you need meds go get your condition, depression diagnosed and maybe you can take antideprssion medication.

i tell you the truth u will never find a stable peace that will calm ur anxiety and depression on this earth that comes from this world nothing u ever find in this world will give you stable peace but i tell u this from experience i was just like you had alot of anxiety issues i could hardly go out in public without freakin out and i would get depressed about it and it was a bad mix but the only thing that saved me was as simple as this. jesus christ is the answer i put my faith into him trust him with all of my heart and i tell you what i havnt had anxiety since true it still trys to come and defeat me but it never works cause my god is bigger than anxiety and it will never win agenst me cause i have the god of the universe on my side. but the reall hard part about this is the TRUSTING part. you litterally have to trust him with all of your heart and not doubt as crazy as it sounds hes real and alive now u can choose to reject him a continue your search for a peace that u will never find or u can choose to accept him and finally find the peace and the love you have been looking for i promise you u wont regret it

I've had panic attacks and depression since I was really young, but only recently have I really started to overcome them. Therapy helped me a lot, and I was on some medications. But even those weren't really doing what I thought they would. I found a program online that has really helped me. It's not for everyone, and you really have to be dedicated to overcoming your issues, but I think it's worth a try. Here's the link if you want to try it:

Other than that, just talk to people. Be open about how you feel. The fact that you’re admitting it says that you really want to help yourself.

sounds like you need to seek out professional help. the depression you believe you are suffering from may be directly linked to the drinking, as alcohol is a major depressant. this may be masking the real problem. only a doctor can give an accurate diagnosis...anxiety, depression, OCD, etc.. self medicating with the alcohol is only going to cause bigger problems. ask your wife for help & support she may be relieved to know you are admitting there is a problem.

In the Beginning God created heavens and earth.
God gives you air to breathe and sunshine to enjoy.
God gives you water to drink and food to eat.
God gives you a wonderful body and sound mind, to live.
God loves you, and you are precious to Him.
Son of God died on the Cross to save us from condemnation.
