My absolutely worst experience was last December on a flight home from Syndey Australia. After hostelling and backpacking for 3 weeks I was exhausted and just wanted to sleep on the 17hr flight home. The family in front of me had two children under 5 and three adults (mom, dad and nanny) all the adults took sleeping pills leaving the kids to devour chocolate and proceed to climb over/under and around the seats onto my lap while screeching at the top of their lungs. Then when I got to LA - my luggage was lost!

The best was probably flying from Vancouver to Frankfurt and the plane was about half full so I had the window seat and the seat next to me to myself. It was so comfortable.

Worst: Well I have a few bad ones but the one that comes to mind right away was flying on Air Ariana (also known as Scariana) from Kabul to Istanbul which was supposed to be a 4.5 hour flight. After 4 hours we started to land and they said something in Dari over the intercom. Me and my friend thought great we are early, which would be a first on the Afghan national airline. We were in the middle of the plane but from my seat I could see out the window and I thought it looked oddly like Afghanistan out there. But as my friend said it is just this part of the world. As we got closer I was surprised to see that I could not see the ocean. This is when I got concerned. Now they used to make a stop over in Baku so I thought they were doing it again but when we hit the Tarmac I saw a sign that said Islamic Republic of _____. It was too short to be Azerbajan so I got worried. Finally we asked the Afghans who just kept repeating Tehran, Iran, Tehran, Iran. My friend freaked. Keep in mind that this was last year just when the US started getting worried about Irans nuclear interested. I was also picturing seens from Not without my Daughter in my head. For a blond girl who lived in Afghanistan I probably overreacted just a tinge concidering that we had just run out of gas and they let us stay on the plane to refuel. So we made it to Istanbul only 3 hour behind schedule.

ive only been on a plane once. i am terrified of heights so this one fight was both my best and worst. it was last summer and it was honeymoon. we got bumped to first class and had all the drinks and leg room. but the worst part was when my now husband got me to lean out the window to see the view cause as he put it " we'll probably never see this again" as i did the plane swerved and tipped a bit and i thought i was going to fall out the window. we also hit some hard turbulence that kinda rattled me but other than that it was the best experience of my life and i would do it again only if it was first class. we got bumped back down for the last leg of our fight and it wasnt the same...lol

Worst: When I was 6, I read too much on the plane and got a bad stomachache.
Best: This summer, I flew first class and the ice cream was really good.
