Usually younger adults have faster metabolism. So if young people get cancer the tumor grows much faster because of the better metabolism. is this true? Also the faster metabolism of younger people to seroconvert for HIV faster because their metabolism is faster. Is this true?

however faster metabolism means better nutrition for cells including cancer cells so wouldnt it make cancer cells grow faster and other body activity to speed up than older people with slower metabolism

Not true. Metabolism and Cellular activities are of diferent entities. Cellular activities are not directly proportional to metabolism.♥

I think not. A faster Metabolism would help you to fight infection. So not for HIV. Cell division and metabolism are connected but very different. Cell division is controlled by a series of Check points, when there check points are mutated, one forms Cancer- uncontrolled growth of cells. Metabolism is referring to the breakdown and utilization of food. Not cell division.
