First off, I'll define peace as true state of being not temporary relief from torment and inner turmoil.

If there were a price you could pay to live in a state of continual peace regardless of circumstances and situations, what would you think that price would be, and do you think the price would be within your reach?

I have that inner peace. It was a free gift from God. All I had to do was accept it. Now I don't want to do the things I shouldn't do. I have a greater joy in serving God.

Peace sells, but who's buying....so said a guitarist a while ago. Peace is worth more than gold. Peace was bought with blood. We just don't have it yet.

So, we have to try for a little peace individually. What will I give up to have/see it. I would give up some rights, money, time. If we all did this, it would not tax any individual too heavily and would be worth it.

But, it will never happen. Nations, religions, ethnicity....will always bring up differences and it will always bring out blood.

The people who lived in least termoil and most secure peace during the past century lived in totalitarian regimes. They had no freedom and few rights. That is too great a price for peace.

I would pay nothing for such peace: buying it rather than earning it through searching seems to negate the value.
