If you mean to die? It deprives your blood cells of oxygen, and without oxygen you die. DON'T try killing yourself with it. (btw, it doesn't take two days, but since you might be thinking about suecide I won't tell you anymore.) Just don't kill yourself.

Why are you asking this, first of all?
Carbon monoxide is a colourless, odorless gas, and very dangerous. It causes severe headaches, drowsiness, and hallucinations. Eventually the person falls asleep and asphyxiates from lack of oxygen. It takes minutes to hours depending on the dosage.
If you have a house that's heated by a wood stove, it's a good idea to have a carbon monoxide detector.

i'm not going to answer that question, because the real question is 'why do you need to know in the first place?'.

let me tell you about my dad-
my dad committed suicide 2 1/2 years ago. i found him dead on the floor. there isn't a part of me that didn't die in some way with him. i felt my body freeze and turn to ice, like his body was cold, and lost track of time. yes, i arranged his final preparations and told my younger siblings about it. there hasn't been a day in my life since were i haven't lived in his loss.

i'm bipolar. i never had psychotic symptoms before, and now i do. i have very bad PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) from the incident.

you need to realize that no matter how bad your pain is, you love others in your life and they love you, and no matter how bad it gets, you have to live so they don't die. they'll die, like a part of me died, if you die. i'll never be the me i was before.

i sit at his grave and cry and sob, and wish i were dead and not him. i still feel that ice in my veins, the cold coming over my body when i flashback and find him dead, i feel like i was dead. this is too scary to put anyone through.

my advice is to go to your nearest ER and get help there. they will know what to do. you don't have to live this way- depression and depression-related disorders are common and treatable. i'm bipolar and will be for my whole life, and i've gone to the hospital 5 times when i could have killed myself easily, because i was doing it for my dad, and for the people i would have left behind. have the courage to do the same.

Hello person, whoever you may be, Im sure there is something positive in your life worth living for, whether its an animal that needs you to be around to take care of it, or a child or family member worth LIVING for. Life is a ONE TIME opportunity, Take it as you will and LIVE for tomorrow... If you gave up today, You would never know what was going to happen tomorrow.... It could very well be the BEST DAY of your life. So live for it!

its quick, but in my experience most people who try this donot die, but instead end up with a very uncomfortable tube down their throat until they lose the high level of carbon monox. so instead of this why not get help and deal with the issue.
