Hemocytoblast-->Proerythroblast (Committed Cell)-->Early Erythroblast-->Late Erythroblast-->Normoblast-->Reticulocyte--> Erythrocyte

Ribosome synthesis occurs at the early erythroblast stage, followed by hemoglobin accumulation during the late erythroblast and normoblast stages, then ejection of the nucleus from normoblasts and formation of reticulocytes. The reticulocytes are released from the bone marrow into the bloodstream. After a day or two in circulation, the reticulocyte becomes a mature erythrocyte when its ribosomes are degraded by enzymes.
