Pediatricians are doctors dealing with pediatrics -infants, children, and young adolescents. It is quite different from adult medicine in various aspects- body size differences are paralleled by maturational changes. The smaller body of an infant or neonate is substantially different physiologically from that of an adult. Congenital defects, genetic variance, immunology, oncology, and a host of other issues are also unique amongst pediatrics. A pediatrician may practice in Emergency Department, Pediatric Department, Neonatal Intensive Care, Neonatal Care, and Nursery.

The educational requirements and qualifications to be a pediatrician is the same as any other medical doctors.Check out this link for more information.
