I'll buy that. I've always felt that man invented God in order to explain what man could not and to bring order from chaos.

Mankind and religion has nothing to do with God's existence. He existed when the earth was without form and void, and darkness was on the face of the deep. And he will exist even it people don't believe in him. People always wants to invite other people into a religion and it's not about that at all. It's about having a relationship with the Father, The Son, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. And if God didn't exist you wouldn't have got up this morning because he breaths breath into you, don't think its that alarm clock that wakes you up, its the Lord that wakes you up and allows you to hear it. It really makes me sad when people doubt the goodness of God. I don't want you to believe in him because I believe in him. I want you to believe in him because he is real. He is The Great I AM. He is Alpha and Omega, The Bright and Morning Star, The Truth, Way and The Life, The Lillie of the Valley, The Rose of Sharon, My Fortress, My Healer, My deliver and most importantly He my Savior and so much more. Just open up your heart and believe him I promise you will not be disappointed. God Bless

I agree that religion wouldn't exist because that is related to mankind. However I believe that God has always been and will always be and does not in any way what so ever rely on any thing or any being to remain in existance, so therefore..... if mankind didn't exist and religion didn't exist, so what; God would still be God. You could do whatever you wanted to try to 'get rid of' God, you cannot defeat God who controls everything.

God is not religion. RELIGION is a term invented by peoples. So, if religion didn't exist, God exist before the begining of earth!

I agree that the human understanding of God wouldn't exist. But questions like this (if a tree falls in the forest...) play on the theoretical plane and don't really have any kind of 'proper' answer. Hope you draw your own conclusions!

Naturally, if mankind didn't exist nor would his products, like religion. But you can't use that arguement to disprove the existence of God, who may well exist irrespective of man and his works!

Yes, that's true. Man created religion. Religion is a set of beliefs about the existence of one or more gods. Without man, there would be no such beliefs, and therefore no religions.

God is the one God that has no Principal, he existed long before Man and I suspect will be around a long time after we are dust.
Peace, and God Bless

this is called syllogism. you have to ask "Socrates" and in recent years -- Einstein if he were alive. we humans -- I am talking for my personal account -- can not and should not answer such esoteric double sided questions! Something exists, whether or not its existence is tied to a third party is non-sense. Descartes demonstrated it -- Je suis, donc J'existe. I am therefore I exist.
take it from there and make your own double sided conclusions. all are valid. no luck, no lucky charm needed to convince you.

I disagree.
God created mankind.
And religion is empty.
Only having a relationship with the Holy Spirit is fulfilling.
I'm not into religion it's silly.
I love you,
