Ok, I have a question. Who can help me answer this? What are "Zantax" prescribed for? Why do a lot of people like their DR.'s to prescribe this medication to them and what do they do to get them prescribed to them? What is this medicine suppose to do?

You're confusing two different drugs: XANAX (the first "x" is pronounced like a "z") and ZANTAC. They have very different uses. Xanax is a tranquilizer, prescribed for anxiety attacks, panic disorders, etc. Zantac is an ulcer medication.

Xanax is a type medication that effects the nervous system. It mildly sedates people with major anxiety disorders, like if they have the shakes really bad or they could have anger problems. There are all sorts of problems a person can have and there are all sorts of medications for these problems. It depemds on the DR. and how the patients body responds to the medication. When taking Xanax a person may feel content, happy, relaxed etc. People who take Xanax for a long period of time may become dependant on the drug.

Only MD's can prescribe it. A doctor will give you tests, and therapy sessions, and if needed they will prescribe zantax for depression. It's supposed to lighten up your attitude so that you can live a normal day like you should. There are alternative methods that for some people can get the same results without injuring your stomach.

MD'S PRESCRIBE THIS ALSO FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE PHOBIAS, PANIC ATTACKS, WORRIED ALL THE TIME, ETC.IF USED RIGHT, IT WILL RELAX YOU, IF YOU ARE A TRUE SUFFERER OF THE CONDITION. SOME PEOPLE LIE TO OBTAIN THE DRUG AND USE IT TO GET HIGH. IT CAN CAUSE THEM TO GET EXTREMELY SLEEPY, STUTTERING, UNSTEADY ON THEIR FEET, ETC. IF YOU KNOW ANYONE WHO ABUSES THEM, DON'T LET THEM DRINK ALCOHOL AT ALL OR DRIVE OR OPERATE MACHINERY OR VEHICLES. This medication is used for anxiety and should only be prescribed if needed by your Doctor. Taking any medication without a Doctors order can be deadly.

I think you may have it confused...there is Zantac for acid reduction and there is Xanax

Just a note...I took Xantax for anxiety...i was supposed to take it everyday but didnt. Only took it when I needed it. I was under a lot of stress during my divorce and had cases of hyperventalation, shakes, etc...but most doctors do not like to perscribe it anymore b/c they say its an addictive med. so if you think you really need it see your doctor and let them decide. They will give you something more suited for you.
