That would probably be the LCD Flat panel.

I usually call the LCD the Jack of all trades TV but expert at non.

LCD hits every point you mentioned except cost. That is a relative term what is a good price for me might not be a good price for you. feel that today alot of tvs outhere are expensive and the LCD is not in excess. I own both plasma and LCD and feel that LCD has gotten so close to plasma in PQ that it is a good choice. I would and have chosen plasma over LCD for one reason. To me Picture quality is KING.

I did not pick Plasma because of power consumption. They use alot of juice but produce a great picture.

Rear projection. Cost factor here is very good but the bulbs are an issue. A few of my customers have had to change their bulbs twice in one year. most change it everyyear. At 300 dollars a pop you might spend more for this tv then an LCD or Plamsa

CRT. Picture. The Sony Wega Trinitron is the benchmark that all tvs are compared to in pictur quality. Cost at 34 inches they can be over a grand. weight- better bring a friend. Power is up there with Plasma. Its almost done as a technology.

Well test them all in the shops and see which one suits your needs. If you can't spot the difference between the models yourself then you'd not know the difference anyway so it dont matter which one you buy.
