What? He lied and said he was 21? Um, that is still illegal. First of all I can excuse you because you are young and have a lot to learn and I know you don't believe that but you'll look back in 20 years and realize how much you didn't know.
Ok, he's 26. Honey, he should be grown up and mature not immature lying about being 21? What kind of a man lies? You don't want to be with a wimp. Forget the age difference. Listen to your parents. And start living your life.

I know you don't believe it, but there is a huge difference between 26 and 17/18/19/20/21 etc.
Could be your parents are trying to save you from a childish and/or controlling jerk/pervert/loser.
I think a grown man-- ought to respect your parents.
A grown WOMAN ought to respect her parents. They may be wrong, but if you are sneaking around and lying--how grown up/right are you?
You should be doing young girl things, not sneaking around to be with a man.--things like, studying for exams, planning on which college to go to, getting tickets for a trip to Africa, planning your future--not with this loser, but YOUR future--You want to be a lawyer? A vet? A dancer? A nurse?
Or this guy's girlfriend, until some 15 year old flits by?
Dumping yoru future and potential on ANYONE is a false hope. You cannot escape YOU. You are REALLY all you have in the world-anything else is a LIE!
In less than 2 months you can proceed to screw up the rest of your life. Can't you wait ??
If you must see him--then wait for 2 months.
You could keep him out of jail. You ARE that mature aren't you? HE should be running in the opposite direction but apparently has no sense, either.
You sound like a perfect match.
Does he have a great job? Do YOU?
Has he finished college? Have YOU?
Is he paying child support for other little girls he has knocked up and abandoned?
Has he been married before? Why not? Why does a grown man think a high school girl is his Miss WonderfuL? Are grown up women too hard to handle?
What he has been doing with you "for a LONG time" is called statutory rape-and considered by some to be child abuse, and child sexual assault.
Not only does he not respect your parents but also he doesn't respect the LAW or YOU-great catch!!
He would ALREADY be in jail, if you were my child.

The fact that your parents were lied to in the first place is a huge mistake. If you feel so strongly about this guy then wait until December and break your parents hearts by moving out. Just be prepared that if he dumps you if he dumps you that you may not be able to count on mom and dad to be there for you. I dont know what you consider a long time but if it is more than two years then this guy has some issues. Why would a 24 year old date a 15 year old? Hope he is not controlling but I bet he is.

depending on what state you live in you can legally move out of your parents home at the age of 17. Have you tried talking to your parents about your feelings? Right now they as your are just tring to protect you. Maybe if you sit them down and calmly talk to them about it they will look at it differently. Besides the police can't really do anything unless you have been intement with him, then they can get him for statory rape and I don't think that is what you want. If all this fails December is not that far away. Also if he feels the same way about you he will wait. All good things come to those who wait.

I used to be in an relationship with a 26 yr. old when I was 16 and it went well. The thing was things that I was trying to figure out on my own he already knew. I think you should wait until your 18. My Mom and Dad were surprised at 1st but then got used to the fact. I hope I helped.

I know what you mean. When I was 17 I was in love with a 24 year old. (well, still am but we are both older now). Anyways, if you want to see him and you have a really really really good friend that would cover for you like saying you are going with her/him...then do it that way. If not then I guess you will have to wait until you are 18.

It depends on the age of consent in your state. Why would he be going to trial unless you had sex with him before you turned the age of consent? If he gets nailed for statutory rape. I wouldn't worry about having contact with him for a long time because he'll be in the big house. The only thing they could get him on if you had sex w/ him after reaching the age of consent and being under 18 is contributing to the deliquency of a minor and that would be hard to prove. Hold out for 2 more months!

It's not illegal to date him, it's illegal for you guys to have sex. But if you truly love each other then you can both wait the couple of months until you turn 18 and then your parent's really have no say. Though I don't recommend going against your parents wishes while you are living in their house.

Wait the two months, really its not that long, if he's worth it he'll wait too. Unfortunately there has to be a line drawn somewhere between child and adult - if it was 17 then 16 year olds would be writing about how unfair it is that they arent able to do things that adults can and on and on, be happy you're pretty close to 18 now.

man forget what your parents say. i f u really love this man then just show your parents that you're not a kid nomore. my man is 24 about to be 25 and i'm 17.(barely) we've only been together for about a month so far. but i'd be damned if i let anybody get in the way of me being w/ him. he keeps me happy and i wouldn't trade him for the world. well down here in texas 17 is the legal age so i have nothing to worry about anyways. but december is only 2 months away. after that you're home free.
