It is definitely worth going, there is heaps to do besides going on big rides. Lots of shows and kid stuff. I would recommend the Minnie & Friends Breakfast and if they are girls the Princess lunch at Ariel's Grotto. If boys, I've heard the Pluto one is really good.

They have a splash park in Bug's Life area and a beautiful carousel near the grotto.
Try to get them on Soarin Over California, my 5 year old was not at all scared and it is awesome.
The Muppets 3-D show is fabulous, no to be missed.
They also have a Playhouse Disney show, and
next door (in a very unassuming building) are some great interactive items which include a visit with the turtle from Nemo.
My daughter LOVED the parades.
Go to the Silhouette Shop on Main Street for some really cool pictures, and
Engine Ear Toys just inside CA Adventure for some unique Mr Potato Head stuff (trick is to leave the head out and load the box with stuff, buy a head back home for $4).
They are the perfect age for Toontown too.

Pick up a guidebook at your local library, they list each activity at the parks item by item so you can see how many your family would enjoy. If you have time and a car, take a trip out to the beach too (unless you already live on the beach), I think this was my daughter's favorite part of the trip :-)

Absolutley , There is so much more to do for kids than just rides . I have an 11 - 8 and 2 yr old , The 8 wasnt up for the rides so he my 2 year old and I went into caves , huge play gyms , shows , walk through adventures , we had a blast . Definatley worth going . I d say we had more fun than my husband and my 11 year old . And we had seen so much more of the park that way too. We were not stuck on long lines . It was great !
Go , you wont regret it .
