There is a lot of new evidence that proper diet, sleep and limiting television and video games are major factors in controling ADD. Sugar and high cardohydrate foods should be avoided. Lots of healthy meats and vegetables are important. Sleeping at regular times helps with concentration and stablizes your carcadian rythems which intern stablize mood. Exercise also is proven to help mood and concentration. TV and video games should be limited to no more then 2 hours a day as they are shown to have an incredibly negitive effect of concentration.
I have seen various specials about how Doctors and Psychologist are linking the ADD epidemic with simply poor diet, lack of exercise and too much TV.
I do believe this because I was told in my early 20's that I probably had ADD but I changed my diet and exercised more and found that everything else improved with it.
Some other tips: Try Omega fatty foods or vitamins, ie lots of fish and leafy green veggies and eggs. Eat organic were possible. They are finding out so much now about all the problems that preservative are causing us. Again I didn't think that much of it until I moved to Denmark where most of the food is organic and I feel so much better only 2 months.

Yes there are some medically supported 'tricks'.
They are exercise, preferably 2-3 times a day for 10-20 minutes( or more) s exercise, as is going up and down steps, floor exercises etc.
Eliminate caffeine from your diet (colas, coffee, tea & cocoa).
Reduce intake of simple carbohydrates such as white flour & pasta, rice, sugar and white bread.
Increase your intake of; fish, smoked oysters, other 'good' proteins such as lean pork , and eat green vegtables such as peas.
None of the above or any natural 'medications' will stop ADD, but the steps listed above will sure help to 'naturally' reduce the symtomns and increase your ability to focus.
I sure hope this helps.

Start by taking over the counter vitamins that contain ginkgo biloba, unless you are taking any KIND of sleeping aide, because they contrast eachother and can kill you... So take the biloba and then do some simple focus skills... Like playing memory... or soduko... Its all about getting your mind to work in a certain way and focusing on it... I have a hard time focusing when Im watching tv and someone is telling me something... i never get it and i forget it right away. So when people are talking to you, DROP EVERYTHING you are doing and take notes. I even go as far to shut the TV off when someone is talking to me because even just the picture with no sound is distracting. Good luck

the answer is concentrate. Only stupid people can't concentrate. ADD is an excuse for stupid people. I'm not dissing you though. Don't believe that ridiculous term. Life is hard and no excuses will make it easier. The only way to do anything is to try hard.
