two are used most often all the time- adderall and provigil. doctors do not like to give these to apnea pts. though. they prefer that you use a c-pap machine and a c-pap machine only. if you are using one and it does not seem to be working, i highly recomend that you ask your current MD to refer you to a sleep specialist. it may be more than sleep apnea, seeing as that the c-pap is all most people need to start feeling better immediantly. it could possibly be narcolepsy (google it, please.) if it is, that is when you should get one of the meds listed above. beware adderall is extremely addictive and couls easily be stolen if you don't watch it at all times, and provigil is not covered by most insurance RX plans and is very expensive. if you want to talk further about this, you can use the site listed below to access my personal e-mail address.

The most common one is undoubtedly caffiene. Modafinil is prescribed to keep narcoleptics awake, and would keep you awake too, but it wouldn't fix the root of your problem. You need to get the sleep apnea fixed. No medicine on earth can substitute for sleep.
