I like this guy John who i have a lot in common with he is Italian i am Spanish and we both are all about our big familys .It started as a friendship hanging out seeing each other around school and with friends now 6 months of friendship he takes really good care of me and makes me feel special and safe.He is also protective of me when we go out dancing which is really not that often but i still like it.We both met each others familys and his mom is helping me learn how to cook Italian food.Recently he asked me out ? I was hurt before in a relationships but feel this is different is it normal to be scared?I feel like i am about to enter my first adult relationship?

Take time, honey, sometimes it takes a lifetime to really get to know a person, but if he treats you good and you enjoy being with him, then go for it. Friendship is the being of a great relationship. In a marriage, your spouse is usually your best friend.

if you've been hurt it will be scary, just take it slow and give it time to heat up. Don't jump out of one relationship into another. It's good that he takes good care of you and great that you get along with his family. You can usually tell how your relationship will go by the way the family relationship is. Keep a close watch and learn, at least you'll be a good cook.
