My 16 yr. old son left for work and died that night coming home. He had already made the decision to follow Jesus Christ and is no doubt in Heaven. If you were to die today, do you know if you would go to Heaven and why?

For all of you who think there is no God or eternal heaven - what do you make of all this? Where do you get your peace of mind? What is your evidence that God and heaven do not exist?

For Mary Eva..thanks for asking. I asked Jesus Christ into my heart, life 16 years ago. The only way to heaven is to believe in Him, per John 14:6 & John 3:16 in God's word, the Bible. We do not have to do good deeds or be a good person, all have sinned...the key is ..what do we believe?

I believe I would go to Heaven because I am a Christian. I have been baptized and have the Holy Spirit living within me. Experiencing this was/is one of the most beautiful moments of
my life.

Yet, I feel like a hypocrite about my current lifestyle and don't even seem to want to change some of my very bad habits.
I'm scared to change because it's all I've ever known. I must make changes somehow soon or everything as I know it will collapse. It's not right to continue sinning as I do and be a Christian is it?

Hope someone will offer some serious advice.

I hope to one day have been able to have worked through most of this and to apply my painful experiences to helping others avoid
them. This is how I see you doing His work and I highly admire you for it.
Thank-you for making it through the worst and still being here to post the question and inspire others.

I know I would go to heaven. I've accepted Jesus Christ as my savior and follow God's word the best I can. I'm not sin free or perfect by no means, but accepting Jesus as your savior is all it takes to get into heaven. I'm sorry for your loss, however I am happy that you have the peace of mind to know he's in heaven. Hallelujah! God Bless you and your family!

My deepest sympathies, as a fellow mom, with an only son, a sincere request to God to bless you with peace. However I believe longsuffering is very much part the "test" of our faith. Will we hold on, or will we lose it?
But you asked if I knew I was going to Heaven, and yes I believe I will. I am a good person and put my faith full on the Father of Creation and His son, our sacrifice. I trust in my faith, so I trust that God will allow me in to heaven. I have consciously vowed to God that I will sin no more, and live a life for Him, by Him, preaching for Him. God bless us all.
What about you?

I'm sorry for your loss. I'm glad that your belief in heaven gives you some peace of mind. I do not believe in heaven, however. If I were to die today, I am just happy that I had a chance to live and experience what I did.

Yes, I would go to heaven.
Why? Because the man Jesus paid the price for my sin on the cross and I have chosen to believe and follow him. He gives me living water and I never thirst. He gave me salvation from my sins that causes death. He loved me first before I even knew of him. He has given me more love that I could ever imagine or encounter. He has given me gifts beyond my yearnings or wanting. He has filled the hole in my heart, the hole that only the living God could fill. And I will walk in his grace for ever more.

The lose of your son in only temporary. My grandmother saw heaven before she died. She sat up in bed and described it, "look at the color of those flowers!" then she waved to people and started saying, "hello so and so, HI there so and so." All dead...or were they?
God bless you dear

I'm very sorry about the loss of your son. As for the rest of this, it's immaterial to me, I have my own religious beliefs, and they do not resemble yours whatsoever. Again, sorry about the loss of your child, I can't even begin to imagine losing one of mine. My heart goes out to you no matter what religious belief system you subscribe to. Peace to you and yours.

when you pass as long as you were happy with your life and others were happy to be part of your life then there is no need to know where you go after death, it's all irrelevant like many religious beliefs . Each person is ultimately judged by what they do when their alive, not after death

My son died when he was 4, before he was anywhere near old enough to think about such things. Is he in your 'heaven'???

This is not the most important question I will ever answer. I am sorry for your loss. I do not believe in a god.
