My Mother bought me a Laptop computer with a color printer and a desk, so I can go to school online as a Birthday present. Does anyone else think that she is wrong for trying to make me pay her back? Keep in mind that she says this is a gift.

I'm 19 and I want to go to college online because I have a full time job and online would work better for me. That was the reason why I wanted the computer, I was going to save up for it..but on my birthday, my mom showed up with a laptop, printer and desk, and said it was a gift. Now she wants me to pay her back and I dont think it's fair.

a laptop is pretty expensive, but a gift is a gift. they arent supposed to be loans.

Depends.. how old are you and are you going to online school? Maybe she got it for you as a gift and you dropped out of school, so you sort of lied about why you wanted it?
