Yes, especially for children as they always play on the grass etc. also pregnant women and people who are sick. There is a parasitc worm that stays in the place where the dog has pooed, it is quite easy to become very ill if a child etc has been in contact. Any temperature etc. and they should be taken to the Drs.

I sure wouldn't be eating it if I were you. There are all sorts of things (bacterium and the like) in any feces (human or animal) that could cause serious illness in humans if ingested. If you stepped it dog poop and washed your foot off and didn't bring the feces in contact with your mouth, nose or eyes, then no problem most likely unless there were worms in the doo doo.

Yes, dirty dogs can carry a disease called toxacara that can cause blindness in children if they come into contact with it, that is why us dog owners should always pick up after our dogs whether they are carriers or not and always wash our hands properly even though we use poly bags.

bacteria that can cause illness or infection. Worms that can spread very easily at contact - many different kinds of worms. Don't touch dog poop and don't let your dog eat or roll in poop. That should be pretty obvious.

Only if you don't wash hands before eating...or handling food..

I have cared for 23 foster children, while raising MANY dogs..and none of us have ever gotten anything from a dog..
Just use good normal hygiene..
