Like most things Christian, there is a duality at work here.
On the one hand, the answer is No: God indicates in Genesis that he has given free will to humanity, that our actions are our own, and he does not direct them like some kind of supernatural puppeteer. One sick man took an action that he and he alone can own.
On the other hand, the answer is Yes: Jesus tells us that his Father is everywhere and inside every one of us. He does not guide us, but he is part of who we are. No matter how evil a person's actions may be, that person is still a child and servant of God, and so the hand of God had a part in this act (and every act) through the actions of his child and servant.
Your Christian teachings do say to love and forgive your neighbour. Nowhere in the teachings of Jesus is there a passage justifying revenge. Those who kill in the name of the Christian God distort Jesus' teachings just as the 9/11 terrorists distorted the teachings of Muhammed. If you truly believe in your Christian faith and your Christian God, and you hope to ever understand them, you must first understand that God's will and hand are uncomprehensible to mere mortal minds. It is through seeking answers to these questions that cannot be answered that you grow in understanding of your faith. Anyone who tries to tell you that God's plan is this way or that way is either lying to you or deluding themselves, or both.

May veiw is that life is so short compared to eternity spent in heaven that it really doesn`t matter what suffering people have in life. Life is just a test to see if you good or bad, if you suffer along the way it does not matter, it is all part of the test. The guy who shot the girls failed the test of life and is heading straight to hell. Well those girls who may have been scared and died young are going straight to heaven where they will live happly ever after. But as far as the question goes, do i think god is showing that we should live a another type of life with the shooting , i don`t think so. He has already told us how to live our lives with the bible it is up to you to listen to it . Like a text book you use to study for a test. You read the bible and then you write the test of life to see if you will pass and go to heaven. The actions at the school were all events chosen by humans, some were those who listened to the bible and their actions were based on the bible while others actions were not based on the bible. But alls those who died who be judged if they passed the test of life.

Only if you think like the Westboro Baptist Cult. They think that God let those girls die because the mayor of PA insulted Fred Phelps. Did God have a hand in the school shootings? I don't thing so. I think the devil did. An act that evil could not have come from God. And the Amish showed true charity and a Christian spirit by forgiving the man who murdered their girls.

I do not believe that God had a hand in the shootings. God would never will the massacre of innocent children. God has given us free will and some people use that free will to make evil choices. God can however bring good out of evil. I believe that the witness of the Amish community to forgiveness and charity is a powerful goo that can come out of this tremendous tragedy.

NO, NO and back NO...God is approximately Love, Mercy, and forgiveness. we've unfastened will and this guy or woman acted on what the enemy replaced into telling him. The Amish confirmed the international approximately a thank you to stay in what the know-how stands for and how it is utilized to on an popular basis existence and that no matter what happens, your faith is robust and not shaken. You used the word "Vengeance is mine, suggested the Lord. he's the only one that would take vengeance and he will take it while he returns and the devil has not extra skill to impression us and lead us into temptation. sure we could constantly shop on with the classes of Jesus and if we'd basically pay attention and be attentive to him, maximum of our problems does not exist....

I think the Amish have it right. Forgiveness. "Vengence is mine", said the Lord, means vengence is the Lord's alone. The world would be a better place if there was more love and compassion by everybody to everybody.

God is not responsible for those precious children dying. There is great evil in the world. The bible says it rains on the just and the unjust. Life happens. We are creatures of choice and we live our lives accordingly. God is gracious to give us peace in the midst of trouble and to help us remain sane when all is insanity about us. God is love. We must decide if we can trust God enough and love him enough to live for him regardless of what may happen tomorrow. That is called living by faith. But God should not be blamed for the evil. Man has allowed evil to spread and it is by man's choice that evil abounds. So all people suffer when evil exists. The Amish live according to God's word. It is hard to forgive unless you truly have Christ in your heart. They show they have him.

God has his hand in everything. Nothing happens with out the Lord allowing it to happen. I am sure the Lord will find a way to use this horrible happening for good.
We are to forgive those who hurt us. Like you said Vengence is the Lords. It isnt ours to give. We are to forgive and let the Lord deal with it.
God bless

When we were given life on this Earth, no promises were made to us except that if we lead a "Christen life" (which means different things to different people) will be be allowed into the kingdom of Heaven in the after life.
I can't help but feel that it's the devil at work when evil things happen and never loose faith that GOD is watching our Earthly decisions and will sit in judgment of our choices one day.

Your question "Could it be,etc." demands the reminder that He is 'all powerful' and that, according to the blindly faithful, he works in mysterious ways. Make that read mysterious and goofy ways.
It's like that 43rd passenger - the sole survivor of a plane crash invoking Gods's intervention as reason he was spared that grisly end's blank look when asked, " Well He must have been pretty mad at the other 41 fellow-passengers, right? Right?
