If not. Why not? If it was circa 0006 a.d. You would be all over me for autographs and snoggs 'n' that! You would call me a 'Scholar' and treat me like a king! I could write a bible to suit myself (like the Jews). Why was it so different then?

No, I don't believe you, because what you're saying makes no sense and you've provided nothing compelling to support your claim.

If it was 6 AD, I would have been a superstitious ignorant fool like everyone else and probably would believe you.

Why don't you start? You can only become believable after you have accomplished what you are asked to do. There has been a lot of Scholars of the Bible and only James' Bible was called King James Version not necessarily because he is a scholar but because it was written for Him.
Apostles who wrote the contents of the New Testament were either crucified or burned at the stakes so it is up to you if youwant to proceed.

Action speaks louder than words, so start writing.
Oh you might have to wait 2000 years to see if "You would be all over me for autographs and snoggs 'n' that! You would call me a 'Scholar' and treat me like a king!".

On second thoughts take another Prozac or something.

If we were having lunch together (as friends, you nit wit), I might tell you that I was going to the bathroom, but then I would sneak off to the kitchen and grab a fire extinguisher and a meat tenderizer. I could sneak up from behind you and freeze you with the extinguisher until you were like a meaty icicle. Then I would beat you with the tenderizer until you shattered into a billion tiny fragments.

As they dragged me away to book me and possibly sentence me to my death, I would stare back at the icy slushy puddle of nastyness that used to be you and think, "I just saved the world from stupidity..."

I am not religious, because I have lost my way...however, I still know enough not to bring, yet another religious book into this world. Talk about dumb!! Don't we have enough problems?

Even if the Jews had written the Bible, it might be a bit more believable.

However, the Romans wrote the Bible around 500 AD, choosing which parts of Jewish texts they wanted to put into it!

If 'God' wrote or created the bible why hasn't he/she updated it? Simple, because God doesn't exsist, only peoples desire to belive in the greater being. The bibIe is the result of lots of diffrent people, scholars etc over time. I do not believe in such things, and do not think I am losing out because of this belife just as I think people who do belive probably have some benefit to themselves, mentally at least.

Nope, but you're right, it isn't any more daft than the likes of Moses, Jesus, Mohammed etc. The difference is you need a cult of personality. So if the likes of George Bush decided they were the new Messiah, you'd probably get a subsection of the mad bible-thumping voters believing every word.

Hey some american guy did this already- check out "mormonism".....

If you do write a bible, remember to write it in a way that everyone can misinterpret. Make it REALLY obscure because the lord does like to work in mysterious ways!!!

We learn from history - sometimes! I don't think you should write a new bible. I am going to write a 'bible' on toilets of the world one day - starting with the USA.
