If you already have symptoms, then you already have the flu. Although what you have sounds more like a cold than the flu.
The flu usually involves muscle aches, fever, nausea and vomiting, diarrhea and fatigue. You usuallly do not have sneezing , sore throats or a runny nose with influenza. Nor does one usually have fevers with the common cold.
In any case, the treatment is the same for both. Fluids, rest and ibuprofen or acetaminophen as needed for fever and aches.
To avoid both the cold and the flu, wash your hands often.
Pink eye is a highly contagious bacterial infection and has no relation to either colds or the flu.

There is a medicine out there called Air Bourne. you take it when you are exposed or when you feel something coming on. BEFORE you get sick. It really works. I have used it and I haven't got sick yet. All it is is a really high dose of vitamins, but whatever it is it WORKS. Try it.⥠You can buy it at any store in the pharmacy department next to the other cold and flu meds. Good Luckâ¥

First off, if your co-worker has pinkeye, she should not be allowed to come to work. That is so contagious, and seriously a pain. I had a roommate once who had pinkeye, and she had to throw away all of her makeup, since it could have been infected. She had to wash all of her sheets, towels, etc. and had to wash her hands ALL the time. Try not to touch anything your co-worker has touched. Maybe a superviser can talk to her and let her know that she needs to stay home while she's infected.
Anytime I feel like I might be getting sick, I take echinacea and zinc pills and drink lots of orange juice. You should also eat lots of fruits and vegetables and stay away from junk food. Get enough sleep.

As a Homeopath I have found taking a dose of ARSENICUM ALBUM 200 eradicates any signs of flu soon as it shows its first signs. Soon as you feel that the sneezing is going to turn into a flu take three drops of ARSENICUM ALBUM 200 and it will stop right there without any complications or side effects.
Take care and God Bless you

Take Airborne! I have used it many times, and it works great! You can buy it over the counter at drug stores. It's a tablet that disovles in water, and tastes pretty good. I noticed though that it doesn't really do much after you get the cold. It only works on the first signs of the cold. It actually says on the bottle to take at the first signs of a cold.

your going to think this is untrue but it does work for me and I always do this,1 pound of baking soda and 1 pound of sea salt, the sea salt is usually by the regular salt at the grocery store, I add this to my bathtub with about 2 inches of hot hot water, stir it up and let it dissolve, cool the water down so you can get in it, after your in it add hot water, as hot as you can stand it, and fill up the tub, you soak in this for as long as you can take it, I soak about 20 to30 to 40 minutes it depends how crappy I feel. keep adding hot water when the water cools, I know it sounds goofy but it works, me and my husband had the flu and he wouldn't take the bath, I did and the next day as he was all sore and sick , I felt great, I can't take cold medicine and feel normal so I do this all the time when I feel like I am coming down with something, while your in the tub you pretty much sweat all the impurities out of your system, my friend told me about this and I thought she was nuts, she does home remedies for everything, good luck to you and I hope you feel better,

when you go home you have to take some strong meds and get sleep right away.
take a mutli-vitamin when you can. Drink fluids.
YOu body needs as much help before the flu gets bad.
This happened to me the day before my SAT and my mom ( who is a nurse) did this for me.
The next day I was fine.
when the body shows first signs of infection you must get on that right away.
be strong and get well my sista!
god bless ya.

I am one who doesn't believe in rushing out to get flu shots. The shots themselves could effect your immune system and lower your resistance, as well as causing other problems in the long run.

Take a vitamina C tablet. Also, drink plenty of orange juice. Last year, I felt it coming, so I bought a gallon and drank the entire thing in the course of a day and felt a lot better the next day.
