Yes. I was at the grocery store and this lady had her toddler in the cart. His forehead was beat red and his nose was running green and yellow snot. He was crying and was whining...it wasn't that "I'm being a pain in the butt" whine it was that "I'm siiiiiiick" whine. The mother was oblivious that he was sick and had a fever. I just couldn't believe it.

Every single day, especially when I see a child unattended near the edge of something or walking behind them on a sidewalk. It terrifies the hell out of me !! I was recently in California, in San Fransisco down at Pier 39... and it's like these parents don't have a single fear about their children falling in to the bay at all.. I don't know how many kids I saw leaning over the edge of the railing to look into the water and at the sea lions, but it terrified me enough to want to walk over there and just grab each and every one of those kids and tell them to get down and way from the edge. It is a serious problem when parents don't pay attention to their kids... that's how they get hurt or killed.....
I am a mother of 5... and I would never even let my kids get near the railing.... it's just too terrifying

Kids get away with too much these days. There is know way my parents would ever smack me in front of anybody but ya better watch out when ya got home. Hey, at least my Parents had enough respect for us kids and not hit us in front of anybody.
I have seen a few Fathers get a little to irate at T-Ball games. Now that's ridiculous.

The time a man sat his 4 year old outside a store in a crowded mall and told the child to sit there while the father and mother shopped. This was simply an invitation to any pedophile around. A child unsupervised and unprotected.

Often! My sons play little league baseball and that brings out the worst in so many parents!! It's amazing what jackasses some parents become just because of a bad call by an umpire.

i used to be be one of those moms who would look at other moms in the store with their kids and be like " oh my god, why is she letting her kids act like that" but now i see, when ur a single mom, (or ur parnter just works alot) or by your self (like i am) and when u have 3 kids all day and u want to shop, its so hard to keep them all in order and shop and keep ur kewl, because u know some one else in the store thinks that spanking is child abuse.not to mention your tired. but i try my best, my daughter isnt a bad kid, but shes not an angel, for the most part she stays in order. but when she gets out of line, im not scared to give her a swat on the butt. regardless of what others think. i think u have to be a mom to undestand. but the worst thing i have seen was a mom and her daughter, she had to be about 5 or 6. she asked for something in the store and the mom said "no we dont have the money", and that little girl dropped to the floor and started kicking and screaming. now my daughter sometimes whines when i tell her no. but if she ever got on the floor and acted like that. i would be spanking her but all the way out to the car!!!

I have thought that. It was about my daughter's friend's mother. They just live down the road and so the one day they walked up to our house and when they were leaving my daughter was in the front yard waving and the mother just let the little girl run down the middle of the road. This road is a busy road and it gets ALOT of milk trucks and other big trucks along with ALOT of regular traffic moving at a high rate of speed. I mean come on, who let's their child play in the road?

I was at the mall the other day and this woman, was letting her kid stand on a chair while she was eating. Well first off she should have been sitting, and it would have prevented her from falling on to the floor like she did. The mother just didnt care. The little girl was probably 2 maybe 3.

Do you have children? I use to think the same thing until i had my own. Now i understand!! Like when a child is screaming at the top of their lungs and everyone stops and looks at the parent like their the worst. Now i know the child is screaming because their not getting candy... again or because they don't want to sit down in the cart instead they want you to hold them, push the cart and grocery shop all at the same time. Now what was your point again?

Last year, I had my two month old son with me at the Fair. A little girl came up to me ans asked what I was doing, as I fed my son. I told her that the baby was and hungry and needed to eat. She stood and watched me, then her mother came up and the girl asked her mum "What is the baby doing". Right in front of me the woman said"Don't ask such stupid questions" and smacked the girl across the face! I was so horrified, I couldn't believe that this woman belted her kid in the face, right in front of me!
I am not against spanking, but I would never hit a child in the face.

You know what I find sickening when Im out in public? Watching mothers push around their baby in a stroller while smoking. Seriously thats not healthy for the kid. Or when I see little kids running around causing trouble while the mother just sits there and lets the kid get away with it.
