Flirting through aggression??????????????
My best friend is always hitting me playfully. She is a girl, I'm a guy, we are 15, and people keep saying she is flirting. Today, for example, she just hit me in the head with a school book (lol) for no reason. We have known each other for 2 years. First off, do you think this actually is her way of flirting? She doesn't do it to other people. And also, what should I do back? Should I also playfully mess around with her?
Is this actually a way of flirting?
Also, when she isn't messing like this, she is more serious to me than others, she tells me if she is feeling bad.

Another thing related to mthis is that when we are around friends, she does this and we playfully mock each other, but when we are alone she is more sincere with me.

First and foremost, never hit a girl. Not even really playfully. Even when you play-hit a girl, no matter how innocently, it puts the subconscious message in her head that you hit her, and, if anyone sees you doing it, you could get beat down. I know I would stop what I was doing to punch you in the head if I saw you hitting a girl.

Ok, that said, it sounds like she is "comfortable" around you. I remember being 15 and the boys I was comfortable around, I wasn't interested in as a boyfriend. The boys I had crushes on, I was nervous, and shy, or acting cool, and doing dumb things around them.

If she is talking with you and hitting and playing and being intimate with details about her life, you are a good friend. Which aint bad.

I thought about this; here's what you do. Since you are such good "friends," bring up a girl you're interested in. Even moon over this imaginary girl a little. See how your friend responds. If she's like, "yay, go for it!" you're in friend-city for life. If she's like, "oh, really? that's cool" you may have a shot. Keep up the imaginary gf until you are sure. Or even flirt with another girl around her. See how she responds. Excellent way to find out before you make a fool of yourself and/or lose a really good friend.

It's more like she's trying to do the opposite of flirt. Granted, some women do flirt through hitting, because it still is a touch. But they are usually the ones that payfully hit everyone. She may be trying to put on an act that she doesn't like you in front of people. If she is more sincere with you in private, I think you got her. If you like her, try tapping her back, then ask her out. Make some cute comment too.

It may be her way of flirting with you. Since you are a black belt she may think that you want a semi-tough girl. I would say that if you like her then tell her. If you are not that into her then try to find out more secretively. Just be careful not to hurt her feelings if you are not that into her. If you do like her though, make a move fast because she is probably waiting for it. Also at 15 her feelings may change fast to crushing on someone else. She would probably still like you, but she would like him better. Just go for it if you want her!

Next time she says she is feeling bad give her a hug and a kiss on the cheek, tell her that you care for her and that she is important to you. Show her the tender side of you, she will respond one way or the other. Let her know that she doesn't have to hit you to get your attention that when your together she always has it. Keep it simple and slowly build the relationship and let her know that's how you want it. Good relationships normally last longer with honesty.
Good Luck

Flirting through aggression is common among people who are a bit apprehensive about exposing their feelings. A lot of people are very hungry for attention but weary of being hurt. This phase will pass as she begins to mature. Meanwhile, a little patience would be appreciated just to show how much you care. You should feel lucky as this behavior is saved only for those close at heart.

Just ask her, if you are interested too. I'd also think you might want to help her learn less violent ways to flirt. Sounds like this could be a painful relationship otherwise.

It sounds like she is flirting with you. Especially because she doesn't do it to others, and is more serious when you're together, just the two of you.

Flirt back, and see what happens.
Good luck!

You already asked this question!!! Again, I will tell you, she likes you. She doesn't know how to flirt so this is her way of flirting. Be playful back.
