I find silicone bake-ware to be an extremely useful tool! I have made several loaves of bread and cakes out of bake-ware that I was given as a gift, and I love the way it evenly heats my dish, but pops right out after baking. The only drawback is that silicone isn't as sturdy as other kinds of bake-ware and for particularly runny recipes, I have had to place a metal pan underneath my silicone bake-ware in order to get it into the oven without spilling. Overall - I think they're great!!

I adore my silicone bakeware. I use it all of the time in place of my old pans and tins. I haven't really found a drawback other than getting used to their flexibility. If you have something substantial in a piece of bakeware, sometimes you might have to improvise on moving or baking it. The food, especially muffins, come out perfect, not to mention I get a kick out of twisting the pan like an old ice tray when getting them out - they come out so easy! I highly recommend them!

I love my silicone bakeware as well and I found two drawbacks one's cleaning them as they tend to be a little harder to clean than aluminum pans, and the other is that you have to add support.
