Heinz 57 would be your best bet! However, they all cost the same at the vet's office at check up time!
If you want a pure bred dog, your least expensive dogs will be those that are most popular breeds. But you need to worry about size, energy level, temperament, long hair vs. short hair, and lots of issues before you come down to settling on a purebred.

Best dog by far is the boxer has the most even temperment of any dog if you are looking for a loyal and non aggressive dog this would be my number one pick. I have had boxers many years with no complaints also a boston terrier they are great pets if you want a very hyper dog but for the most part have a wonderful personality. Beware of the purse pooches little dogs are cute but can develop into nightmares. bigger is better with a dog less aggressive and more even tempered. Hope this helps

Go to your local animal shelter and adopt an otherwise homeless pet. Most of them do it for about a $50 donation.
Mixed breeds often don't have the genetic issues purebreds have. Go for a medium-sized dog - one that's about 25-50lbs full grown. Not so little that you'd step on 'em, but not so huge they'll eat you out of house and home.
Good luck!

You can get a dog from your local humane society, dog pound or shelter.that would be the cheapest place. The breed depends on your living situation, yard or apartment living? I have had small, medium and large over the years.Mixed and purebred both, They all have their advantages. Then your dog needs spayed, there are just too many unwanted animals.

dogs are not cheap even if you where to get a dog the vet visits are high i have 7 puppies and and when i took them to get there puppy shots it cost me 50.00 per pup and they need 4 puppy shots each and then rabies shots as well
i adopted 4 of those pupies out and still have 3 left that go to the vet every two weeks until they are 18 weeks old every time they go i raise the price by 25.00 so that i only eat 25.00 instead of the whole 50.00

Get a shelter mutt. They really do make the best pets.
You get lots of "extras" for the very reasonable price. There are fantastic dogs looking for homes in a shelter near you.
Good Luck

We got our dog from a rescue shelter. There's basically a rescue shelter for almost every type of dog out there.A good shelter will come to your home to make sure that you and your dog are suited for each other. You can find shelters on the web.
We got a Shepard-Husky mix, and we could'nt be happier.

For purebred dogs, a German Shepherd. They are easily trained and extremely loyal. We got a female for a breeder for $500. Check on Craigslist. They give away a lot of dogs for free.
