Sometimes the questions should be when instead of what. Sometimes, depending how active you are, you can get away with eating and drinking the same way and lose weight. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day! It supplies you with the fuel to start your day. Equally as important, what you eat will make you go further. Keep your portions small. Instead of having 3 large meals, try breaking them down to 6 smaller meals. Doing this helps keep your metabolism running smoothly instead of it racing then coming to a halt! what happens when you eat alot in one sitting is your pancreas spits out insulin to break down the food...that's why you get sleepy after eat a big meal. When you make it same you body runs smoothly and keeps it constant instead of sleepy. At night, again, small portion. When you eat a large portion really late, what happens when you do this and go to sleep, you tell your body to save all that food/energy for a later date to be used. That's why you gain weight/fat, usually in the abdominal area. What you can do to lose that weight is lower your daily intake to signal to your body, "Hey, I don't have enough energy to run/work all day, time to use that stored fat and convert it to energy. Just a brief introduction but eat at the proper times and watch your portions.

I'll tell you what NOT to eat!! Fast Foods, TV Dinners, Processed foods.Just say "NO" to anything in the supermarket that comes in a box....cook your own meals at home... EAT These things to help lose weight and feel great. Whole grains, (Meaning they comefrom nature, not a box!!!) Fruits (you eat, not drink!) Stop drinking soda or at least cut down your soda intake. Veggies are so helpful in losing weight, and lean cuts of meat such as chicken (baked not fried) and turkey....and most important Exercise!!!!!!

Both dieting and exercises are essential for losing weight. By dieting I mean that you should balance your daily food intake. Take only as much Carbohydrates and fats which you can burn in your daily acitivity. Each gram of Carbs and Proteins produces 4 Calories of energy while each gram of fat produces 9 calories. Take proteins in addition to carbs and fats because they are essential for building muscle mass. The best diet, in my opinion, would be milk, juices, fruits and vegetables for vitamins and minerals. And eggs, fish, chicken for proteins.
Isotonic or Weight training exercises are good for building muscle mass and toning up muscles but for losing weight a much better option is to do aerobic exercises. You can only perform 10, 20 or 50 repetitions of isotonic exercises while you can easily do aerobic exercises for half an hour or more. Secondly for losing weight, if you are hitting a particular area, it doesn’t mean that you’ll lose weight only there. When you start losing fat the process generally involves your entire body fat. Aerobic exercises are also good for your circulation, heart and respiration. The best aerobic exercises in my opinion are: running, cycling, swimming and brisk walk.

Try the South Beach diet, easy to follow and you are never hungry. Lots of vegetables, low carbs and it is something you can follow with ease. Cut out sodas and juices - too much sugar. Stick with diet sodas and crystal-lite drinks. But you also need to exercise.... at least 15 minutes a day - nothing strenuous.... walk around the block a few times.
