Mathamatics is the best Catagory I could think of. Most thorough, comprehensive answer gets 10 points.

What are the two measuring systems? One of them is Metric. What is the name of the system we use in the U.S.?

Can you give the name of the system and the measuring inside of it. I want both systems also, Metric and the one we use in the U.S. I forget the name of that one, so if you could tell me.

THANKS.

U.S. customary units.

These are still the main system of measurement in the United States. While some steps towards metrication have been made (mainly in the late 1960s and early 1970s), the customary units have a strong hold due to the vast industrial infrastructure and commercial development. The effort is proceeding slowly due to the overwhelming financial cost of converting the existing infrastructure. U.S. companies which trade internationally are more likely to use the metric system due to international standards and certifications such as ISO9000.

I believe the U.S. uses the Imperial system. Yards, feet, inches, pounds, ounces, umm... that's all I could think of.
