It sounds as though you are coming down with a cold. This is a viral infection and you can't stop the cycle, only bacterial infections can be stopped with antibiotics. The virus is spread through the air, you might not have been around anyone sick or you take good care of yourself but if you entered a room where someone had the cold virus, you could catch it. The best thing you can do is treat the symptoms. For a sore throat you can gargle with salt water, drink plenty of liquids, juices, water, gatroade, etc. Take vitamins. Take cold medicines at night like NyQuil and DayQuil during the day.... anything to make you feel better and be able to function. You can't stop the viral process but you can certainly feel better while you are going through this.

Just because you wash your hands before you eat anything, that doesn't mean that you still can't infect yourself with some germ you picked up. Do you wash your hands after everything you touch? I'm sure you don't. You could open a door, and without thinking touch your face. Whatever it is that you may have, make sure you drink lots of fluids, get some rest, and take Advil to break that fever you have in your body.

If it is hard too breathe - that sounds dangerous- the rest sounds like a flu bug or bad cold w chills- but hard to breathe- not good! See a md for that- if you call and tell them it is hard to breath- they will either get you right in or send you to the er- D

Sounds like the beginning of the flu to me. Sweats and chills, headache, sore throat, etc. No matter how much you wash your hands and eat healthy, your body can pick up germs and now it is trying to fight it off. U should see your doc fo sho.

but do you wash your hands each time you touch your face, especially your eyes, nose, and mouth? the cold virus is spread via mucous membrane contact. also aerosols caused by sneezing and coughing can carry the virus. no one is safe, no one is immune unless you live in a bubble or wear a mask all the time.

Just because you have a healthy lifestyle doesnt mean you cant get sick.. Just breathing the same air as someone who is sick can get you sick.
