Did they all split up, into splinter writing groups & just write holy pamphlets. Which is why none have survived to today?

The bible doesn’t represent the modern day..Nowhere does it mention 'Hoodies', 'The Scissor Sisters' or 'mobile phones'!.....It was a factional experience to me!

well, in john's book of revelation, it says in chapter 21 vs 18 and 19 not to add to or take away from the bible. but, think about this. you have a large dominant control of society, you gave the females a role of descendants of evil eve the usurper. so that you don't need to give women equality. if you were a high rank member of the church what you did was godly even if it involved child molestation, rape, murder. genocide. and all this was because of the way THEY wrote the bible. they say that the winners of the war write the history books. well the winners of this war wrote the bible didn't they? and notice that at every level you are not allowed to question religious authority (child molesting priests could not be questioned by the constituents only from the priests superiors) (and often child molesting priests were taken from the church in question and put in charge of a catholic school or daycare facility.) at every level you are not allowed to question the bible. at every level you are to have faith and accept what your told. sounds like brainwashing and manipulation to me. but do your own thinking. do your own research. i question how is it god who created Adam and eve didn't create cane's wives? how is it that a god who is JEALOUS can claim unconditional love? my mom was unconditional and the more unconditional love i felt from her the more impossible i believed it to be for her to possibly be jealous. notice that god evolves in the bible as the people learn and evolve? well if he was always perfect then how and why would HE need to evolve? there are more questions then answers. i found my answers in asking questions and being open to the answers. i would recommend you do likewise. hope it helps

The bible was written by prophets who lived in the middle east. Their works were taken, abridged, cut , pasted, and reworded to fit the general concesus of "wise and intelegent" SCHOLARS of the day. It is tough to read and not get confused if you are honestly studying each verse and comparing them through out. However it is the word of God though much is altered and changed. I would reword your questions as why don't we have prophets writiing today? My answer is that we do. There is one religion that claims to have a prophet and apostles today. They have modern scripture and recieve new instruction from the prophet and apostles monthly in a magazine called The Ensign. THey have additional scripture which has not been cut and retranslated a dosen times but just once by a prophet. Find a church with a Prophet who holds the keys of the kingdom as Peter, Eligah, Abraham and Christ as well as many other prophets did and you will find the truth.

Lets open the book to the last page.... hmmm....
The New Jerusalem is pictured as resting on 12 foundations each has the name of an aposlte.... NOT... an endless series of foundations going on and on with nuvoe authors or leaders.... (with the exception of Judas its pretty clear who 11 names are... and Paul is likely the 12th name... but if you wanna know for sure you need to go there and check it out)

the apostles teaching is the bedrock which they got from Jesus as well as their eyewitness testimony to the resurrection

also...because Jesus promised at the last supper as he set with the apostles that "the Holy Spirit would lead you into all truth' there is no more essential truth for salvation

keep in mind, Jude said "contend earnestly for the faith which was delivered up once of all to the saints" so the notion that the faith was delivereed complete is there

It is out obligation to conserve truth , treasure it, follow it, be changed by it, and pressent it to the world is the most seeker sensible way appropriate, in a manner they will be able to understnad, accept or reject it

Because what is the point of continuing to write it? Suit modern times? How would that even be possible when the faithful scholars of Christ could have no CLUE how JC would interpret his teachings to suit modern times? They only know how to interpret his teachings for the times surrounding his life.
