In Excel how do you subtract numbers from another column? Exapmle: I have a list of numbers in c2-c15. I want to subtract numbers from c2-c15 but have the new total show up in b2-b15.

in B2 put: =C2-100 where 100 is the number you want to subtract
in B3 put: =C3-100 ...etc...

Instead of 100 you can have a reference to a cell containing the value you'd like to sub.

Click on the cell at the top of the column that will have your totals in it. Then click the little "f" button next to the text line at the top of the screen. A little window should come up asking what kind of function you want. Select the subtraction, and follow the directions to choose the cells you want to do subtraction from. After you have that cell working, you can click at the bottom right of the cell (there's a little square there) and drag it down over the whole column. Excel should automatically apply your function to every other cell in the column, adjusting the cells to subtract from as it goes.
