I have had a good look through the answers, and am surprised that know one has stated a well known fact,

The average English women these days is actually a size 16, take a good look around us all, yeah theres a lot of slim petite women out there pre child birth, you only have to look around the school....

Stick insects our out htese days, men much prefer the curvier women....

And at the end of the day, if you cant be accepted for the size you are then there not worth worrying about....As long as your happy and healthy enjoy your life and dont fret....

From a size 14 5'6......And happy : - )

I am size 18 and 5'2". I feel to big and feel unhealthy - which is the deciding factor really. But I am not short of male attention and women tell I look good, I think it's all about how you are proportioned - I have a small waist - so look curvy! But essentially it's about your own self-esteem and how confident you are, if you are not confident then try and lose some, if you're happy then sod it!

It depends where you are holding your weight. Unfortunately most short people are apple shaped and therefore hold their weight around the stomach area. In health terms this is more dangerous as the quantity of fat covers the major organs and therefore puts a strain on your heart. Taller people are more evenly proportioned and tend to hold their weight in the bottom region of the body. To be diagnosed as fat or overweight your stomach would need to be 35cm or over. Anything below that is in healthy range, above that than you are at risk of heart disease and diabetes. Hope this helps. Personally I think size 16 woman are curvaceous and beautiful.

I don't know, it depends how well you carry it. Do you go in at the waist and out at the hips. You might look really good as a size 16, only you know whether you want to lose weight or not, but your body fat percentage should not be over 32% to be healthy. HTH : )
