This is a good question that I ALWAYS ponder when i see one...mainly when i go to the beach. I have even asked someone who seems to know it all. but even he was stumped.
I am going to say yes, its probably safe to eat a seagull, although I did hear that their flesh is kind of tough.
Please let me know if you do try one. Send me a comment on my Yahoo! page, OK? I am really into cooking.

I would imagine they are no worse than a chicken when it comes to eating anything that moves. I would think a gull would have a strange taste since it is a fish eating bird. I know ducks taste strange if they are the fish eating kind. But yes, they are probably safe to eat.

Okay, let's say it was commonplace to eat seagull. (eww) They're quite the scavenger, eating fish, small rodents...or anything else people on boats and the beach will throw up to them, like bread, french fries...and the like. (I will throw them anything I have far away over on my neighbor's towel to get them away from my beach picnic!)
Do you really want to eat meat that's been fed by fast food and fast rodents? :o)
