Well, if that were the case think of all the dead people that would be building up in the corners of alot of peoples homes...No, really, I was 12 when a lady down the road from me (22 years old to be exact) convinced me it was COOL to smoke. Yeah, I bought into it. Now, after too many years to mention I am addicted. Why you ask, well, with all the crap they put into them it is near impossible to stop. I have tried but those nasty WITHDRAWS kick my a**!
So, if you don't smoke, pat your self on the back! And if you know someone who has recently started you half to try and get them to STOP, now. I know ALOT of smokers who wish they had never started!

First off smoking is a drug...That is why you feel like you can't stop or you are in need of it as if you find it comforting. The nicotine inside the cigarette has an affect on the dopamine in your body which channels through the pleasure pathway in your brain causing you to feel pleasure while you are indulging in this bad habit forming what you may feel is a desirable relationship. Like with any relationship that is not good for you need to discontinue the relationship. Try nicorette gum, being hypnotizes also has been known to work, and or the nicotine patch. Smoking has been known to cause lung cancer, mouth cancer, emphysema, and other serious breathing problems. Good Luck

smoking is a drug.. People who try to stop will go through withdraw and will develop a tolerance where they need more and more so that makes it a drug...And schizophrenia is not presence with them it is a medical problem with dopamine and the gaba area in the brain. too little of one chemical and too much of another.
