I'm getting ready to do a grueling 1&1/2 hour workout in the weight room. Is that God's will for me for the next 1&1/2 hours?

I would think the Divine would want you to be healthy. So, maybe you are.

Did you ask him? Or are you just doing it? If you asked him to open the doors for you to do the work out and you are still able to do it, then sure it's Gods will. However, if you asked him to open the doors and all of a sudden, you get a flat on the way, then get there and realize you left your gym clothes at home, or get sick all of a sudden, then yeah, it's not in Gods will, and he has closed the doors.
But...good grief...your body is for God...don't be goofy and think that taking care of it would be against his will...come ON!!

That is your will because you chose to do it. Gods will is found in the bible. He doesn't put things in your head as if that is his will. We are free moral agents -- Hebrews 5:14: But solid food belongs to mature people, to those who through use have their perceptive powers trained to distinguish both right and wrong.

What did God say when you prayed and asked Him?

Or, did you forget that part?

Tell god to go **** himself. Chill out and relax. Talk to friends and maybe have a beer.

not everything we do is always GOD'S will. sometimes we do what we want to do because we want to or not. sounds as if this is what is happening here
