If someone is a born again Christian, or Jew, or any religion, is it right for them to tell me I shouldn't be doing what they were doing at my age, because it's morally wrong, or against the laws of God?

In etiquette, no they don't. But their Bible and doctrine compell them to.

And they don't genuinely care about your soul (as evidenced by the hate monger "really fed up" above). They just want to be "right." They have a lot vested and have basically thrown this life away for the next one. Boy, it's gonna suck when they see Heaven's "No Vacancy; Thank you for your donation" sign.

Maybe you have answered your own question.

If it is morally wrong, why are you doing it?

If it is against God's law, why are you doing it?

Sounds like you don't need anyone to tell you what you already know as being wrong. Many of man's laws stem from God's law. But not all of them do. There are many "rules" in the church that don't have anything to do with God...and people follow the "rule" because they think it is the right thing to do.

Do people have the right to tell you?.....depends on the perspective. If they see you going down a road of destruction....they are probably compelled to tell you and therefore probably think they have a right. You may not see it that way, but again, it's the perspective on things.

If you saw your best friend doing something that you knew would hurt them(either in the present or in the future)....even if it meant that they may never talk to you again....would you tell them, warn them...? How much do you really care? If you care about them, you will tell them, because that's what love is. Love is a sacrifice for the other person, no matter what the outcome is for you.

So back to your question.....Are you doing something that is morally wrong(even though you are having a good time, having fun, and it's not hurting anyone?) Are you breaking God's Law by participating in something that he disapproves? If you are.....then Jesus loved you enough to die your death that was brought on by your wrong doings......just like he did for me....and my sin. THAT'S REAL LOVE.

Have the right? Or, is it right?

Those are two different things.

Either way, it depends on the circumstances. Sometimes ppl ask a question and don't like the answer or start an inflammatory conversation and not be able to deal with the response. They say things like, "I don't want to get into this but..." Then they say things a Christian HAS to respond to.

No one has the right to tell you to do anything unless you are breaking a law of the land. Even then, they can only "advise" the correct course of action. Ultimately, whether you break a law or not, it is your decision and your decision alone.

It isn't right for ANYONE to tell you what to do apart from your parents. They are the people who brought you into this world and the only people you should take and also accept orders from. You should be able to decide for yourself what is morally wrong. No-one apart from your parents has the right to use the phrase "when I was your age". If they did that to me I would give them a punch in the face for being rude and say "these are my morals now go preach to someone who gives a ****"

If you claim to be a Christian then I have a responsibility to tell you if you do something wrong.

If you are holding a gun against your head threatening suicide, I have a responsibility to talk you out of it.

no born again person can tell you what to do because we are commanded not to judge and to love others unconditionally. they only way we can guide you is if you ask us for guidance. but if what youre doing harms others or yourself, i would ask you yo stop doing harm. then i would pray that god comes into your life for guidance.

Well if you believe in the first amendment. Then you know they can say most anything. And you know you can rudely ignore them also. You can instruct them off your property.
POINT to remember keep your cool !
