I do not believe that you are a chain smoker if a pack last you 2 or 3 days. If you were a chain smoker, you would be smoking 2 or 3 packs a day. I have been trying to cut down some of my smoking as well. Some of the things I try is to try not taking your cigarettes to your work -- leave them at home; when your at home -- put them in another room where you have to go get one somewhere else every time you want one. Then, only smoke outside and not any inside. This might help you cut down.
I have been told to not invest in any of the gimmicks to quit smoking because all they do is add to your addiction and you end up smoking again. You need to quit cold turkey. When you quit, try and stay unusually busy. Do things like rearrange your sock drawer, clean under your bed and other furniture, and take long walks, for example. I hope this helps. Good luck

Your not a chain smoker ! Chain smokers smoke like 2-4 packs a day. They are lighting one ciggerette before they are putting the other out. Smoking one right after the other, Good luck on quitting ! and God Bless !

No, you're a chain smoker if you smoke one, put it out and automatically light up another one. My dad goes through 3 packs a DAY. I understand where you're coming from with trying to quit. I have been trying to quit for a while now, also. If you can, go through a smoking cessation class. They can provide you with other alternatives to combat the cravings, such as deep breathing, exercise and a support group. I wish you the best of luck with this. It's so hard.

chain smokers tend to go thru two or three packs a day. they light one up just as soon as they finished the last, that is why they are chain smokers.
be that as it may, any smoking is harmful to the body. If you can quit for a month, you can quit for life, you simply have to want it badly enough.

No, a chain smoker lights another one from the almost finished first one, hence creating a "chain". But yes, quit.
