Robber ~
There have always been giants in this sport , granted not as BIG as Valuev but pretty big. Back in the day there was a guy by the name of Primo "The Ambling Alps" Carnera, he was 6'7 and 270 pounds he had over 100 fights his record was 87-15-1 with 70 knockouts.
You might say it's not fair now, but when Valuev fights against a Heavyweight that is known as a puncher he will get knocked out. He was getting hit with shots from the much smaller Barrett in his last fight and was obviously bothered by his punches and Barrett isn't known to be a puncher.
When it's all said and done when Valuev is on his back then it will be fair, everyone is the same size laying down.

Its fair as its debatable to whether being that tall and that heavy is really that much of an advantage. After all hes not exactly built for speed, don't get me wrong i think that Valuev is alot better than most people give him credit for. But when he fights someone alot faster than him he could well be in trouble after all you can't hurt what you can't hit. Its just at the moment there arn't really that many fast guys about, so it wouldent surprise me if he was champion for quite a while longer.

I don't know that his size is such an advantage. The 6"8', 515 pound former sumo wrestler Akebono failed miserably at kickboxing.

A) he is a lumbering slob w/ some technique, not much

B) It can't be fair; he'll beat tomato cans, bums, and weak hitters but get annihilated when he faces a fighter the caliber of Lennox Lewis, Holyfield, etc. Liakhovich might beat him down. He will not be around much longer is my hunch.

I watched the fight that night and also could not believe the difference in size. It reminded me of the three stooges when they pound the little guy on the head. There was no way that it was far he could not punch him in the face he would have to litteraly jump to do it.

He is a terrible boxer he was flabby I don't care hes 7 feet tall and weighs 375 lbs. the guy has no clue as to how to box wait till he gets in a fight with a real heavyweight who knows how to box even Lampley was embarrassed by that display the alabet of boxing is a joke.
