some people are not interested in being friends with other people??? (I have been talking to lots of people recently in my class, job, clubs, and wherever I can find people). and it seems that they only want acquantance. They ask me for help in class and I help them and I ask them for help, and they help me. and some of the people never open up after talking to the same people after 2 months. They never start the conversation. I usually have to but most of the conversations are really short though.

Why is that??? If it has to do with trust issues, how can I get a person to trust me if they never open up with their issues? How can I get a good true friend? I feel like just quitting on talking to new people since they never seem to be a very good true friend (either not that responsive like "hi, did you do your homework?", "no", then that's the end of the conversation and that person never start talking to me though. or acquantance (person asks me for help and i ask them for help)

You just be you & keep talking no matter if you start the conversation or not. Eventually someone will see that you are a great person. Don't change you cause some people are inconsiderate.

You sound like a very open person who tries to be a true friend. The problem is you are probably trying too hard. People may sense this as desperation. Continue to be pleasant and friendly, but stop going out of your way. Then others will have an opportunity to approach you. Many people are closed. Their boundaries are greatly defined and they resent others trying to get in. By stepping back a bit, they will take more notice of you. They will wonder what is going on with you for a change. Try to remember that it takes some people longer to trust others. We do live in a crazy world.

Perhaps when they first start talking to you , they decide straight away that they dont like you or dont connect with you!

Try talking to people with similar interests as you (join a club or watever interests you)

You will find that people open up more easily because you already have something to talk to them about!
