My guy prefers short hair - shorter the better. He is also a barber, so I end up with a short crop look most of the time. I'm the one that prefers long hair on me, but my hair cuts are for free, so I won't complain. lol.
And almost ALL men in my age group prefers short over long anyday. (35 - 40ish and older). Seems the younger the man, the longer they want the hair.

Most men seem to like longer hair, but speaking for myself; i like either. It all depends on the cut. A woman with long hair that doesn't suit her face...no. A woman with a really bad short cut, is sometimes worse, cause there's not a lot of styling choices there.
I was in a relationship with a girl for 6 years, she could wear her hair any style and still be incredibly sexy. But she got this really bad short cut once and couldn't really do anything with her hair, but she was still sexy with a hat on. Just kidding.

The majority of men that I know prefer long hair. Because it is very sexy. I cut my hair for the summer but I'm growing it back because I get a whole lot more attention, with long hair.

I would say, from personal experience, the men I know prefer long hair. My hair started short and my husband liked it shorter (about shoulder length) and I decided to grow it out pretty long (to the middle of my back now). I really want to cut it, but everytime I mention it to him, he tells me that he loves how long and beautiful it is and how it'd be a shame if I cut all of that hair off.
Even though it takes more time to fix it, I like it long too. You usually always take a second glance if you see a pretty woman with olive skin and long, dark hair.

Long...to pull on in bed...but short is more sexy depending on what your wearing...not very many women can pull the short hair look off.

long silky hair, of course it doesnt have to be silky. But in my opinion girls with long hair look more femenie, nothing against girls with short hair, is just my opinion, i love to play with a girls hair, love it
